it seems like they're on the move which is great. Currently on 34BD and with no "not straightforward" email and seeing that others get their decisions so quickly I'm getting extremely worried.

Good luck to everyone who got their decision made email today ! Fingers Crossed!!

Please don't worry - these things just happen... the decisions can some in starts and stops, and so a quick approval for one person does not necessarily mean someone else will get a refusal because they have been waiting longer.

Sometimes you just end up with people who have been waiting months getting their decisions at the same time as people who only applied a few days earlier... there's really no rhyme or reason to it.

I suspect OS306 is the "March Unicorn".  Usually a few applications that were just received in will be selected for processing to greatly sway the published statistics into meeting the service standards.

I imagine we'll see March statistics posted in a couple of weeks.   ;)

Congrats again to everyone getting decision emails!

I’m hoping for one soon but it still is so good to pop on and see a flurry :3

LOL I sure hope so.

Regardless of the outcome, this forum has been an invaluable source of help. Couldn't have done it without all the great people on here!

Are quick decisions usually good decisions?

Yes and slow decisions are usually good decisions too! The vast majority of US applications are successful.  :)

Yes.  :)

Processing times from the website don't mean anything really. They are always out of date by the time they are published.

Looks like they’ve updated/changed that part of the site and it’s not set up properly yet.

But as larrabee said, those processing times are very out of date anyway and so do not give an accurate picture of actual processing times.

A couple of years ago in May and June, a load of people applied non-priority because the website said applications were being processed in (I think it was) 15 working days.

However, those times were 2 months out of date and were most likely the priority applications, and at the time those people actually applied, the processing times were up to 3-5 months. That meant that several people who applied non-priority in May/June didn’t get their visas until October/November!

I wonder if UKVI is just powering through applications and sending out decision e-mails this week?

We also just got a decision e-mail, however, our application was received in Sheffield on 28th March. It's now 3rd April, so that's two business days (not including the two bank holidays that just went by). That seems a bit too quick to me? Our application seemed to be pretty straightforward (no dependents, easily met the financial requirements) so I'm hoping the news is good...

Can’t say i’m not jealous your application got chosen as the lucky unicorn. But i’m always happy whenever people get decisions because it means UKVI is operational. Congrats!

The unicorn applications! Indeed, no one needs to worry if it's taking a long time. Look at the southern family and the application that took 80+ days - both were approvals!

Thanks - looks like it was a glitch yesterday.

However, it still has the Feb processing times on it... so bear in mind that:

- the applications processed in 15 working days would have arrived in Sheffield between early Jan and early Feb 2018

- the applications processed in 30 working days would have arrived in Sheffield between mid-December 2017 and mid-January 2018

- the applications processed in 60 working days would have arrived in Sheffield between early November and early December 2017.
