It does clearly say 40kg/88lbs on the website so you may still be ok but it also says.. Heavier pets and unaccompanied animals always need to be booked specifically as cargo with Icelandair Cargo.

So you would still be able to travel with Iceland air. I don't know how much that would affect the price though. https://www.icelandaircargo.com/products-and-services/avi/pets/

have had a research team backing me for the past couple hours :P looks like condor air may allow it, but i’d have to fly into germany, then take a train to france.

The online messenger team and two people through their call line said the website was wrong but maybe it depends on the size of the plane/which flight.

I love air canada, and I think Air France has a much better weight allowance on pets, have you looked into Lufthansa?

Every airline except Condor that allows dogs is around $2800 (not including the dog).

I'm not gonna chance it with Iceland Air's flakey policies and customer service.  Just gonna do Germany -> France.

I am sorry if I caused you problems with this! I just am flying out from the East Coast (and I am from Texas) and was freaking out myself at the thought if my dog doesn't loose .95lb that I'd be up the creek without a paddle. And I didn't want to see you get everything ready to be denied at the airport!
