Are you combining both the rental income and the part time income?

Is she self employed or paid under PAYE?

I am combining both income. I'm guessing the rental income is considered income from other source instead of self employed.

Rental income from property she owns comes under Category C: Non-Employment Income.

If she is employed (pays taxes through PAYE), then her other income comes under either Category A or B: Employment Income, and if she is self-employed (she files her own taxes), it comes under either Category F or G: Self-Employment Income.

This part is REALLY important from us to understand.  Which category did you apply under?

I suspect your financials may not be crystal clear, and they are trying to approve you under Article 8 as you have a British citizen child.   :-\\\\

I filed under category A and C. I did use a law firm 2nd time so I'm hoping they did it right. But what is this Article 8? Is that something I should have declared in the application?? Once again thank you all for the advise and suggestions.

Is your wife paid through PAYE?  This is such an important question.

I hope they didn’t get it wrong, but you wouldn’t be the first ones to have had a lawyer cause a refusal.  Let alone today!

Article 8 gives the right to family life in the UK if the financial requirements are not met, you may still be approved on a ten year path to ILR, as you have a British child living in the UK.

I'm guessing she doesn't need to pay any taxes through PAYE as she earns less than £11,500 from her part time job. But she did pay her taxes to HMRC for her rental income for last year. But rest I guess I'll have to find out in details on Monday from the lawyer. But either way pray for me.

But if she was earning more than £11,500, would her taxes be automatically deducted from her payslips by her employer through PAYE (Pay As You Earn), or would she need to file taxes at the end of the year and pay her taxes then?

It would still go through PAYE, just no tax would be withheld.

If her pay is NOT going through PAYE, therein lies the problem.  As you shouldn’t apply under category A.

Did she complete a self assessment with HMRC combining the part time earnings and rental income?

She did complete a self assessment with HMRC for her rental income, but she didn't for her part time job cause it had not been 1 full year as she started her job on May of 2017. I'm guess she is going to file for it this month. But she did go through with PAYE as she receives a pay slip but no money gets withheld like you said.

I suspect that when they tried to match the information from the application with HMRC (one of the checks), that they didn’t match.    :-\\\\

Any idea what I can expect from them. Will they do any inquiry on their own or will they ask me for any further documents??

They will do any inquiries on their own, but if they need more information from you, they may send you an email to ask for further documentation.

Yes. She said it’s easier to apply again (and cheaper) than to appeal. I’m still hanging around here though.
The only reason I’m not applying straight away is that it’s easier for me to get a job this time of year. Plus, I plan to have well over the £62500

@Ca9604
I am very sorry for your rejection and I can imagine how you feel. Having been in the same rejection situation, I would like to encourage you to reapply (if you have all the documents).
Also talk to people on this forum, 99% of the time they are much more knowledgeable than any lawyer.
From other side, if you don’t want to reapply now, appeal - it costs only 140 GBP, and should not be as expensive process as new application.
