Please keep us updated with lots of kitty photos!!!!

And seriously - don't drop the first application.  You deserve a refund.  Though I am happy that we convinced you to marry first.   ;D

Lots of kitty photos guaranteed  ;D ;D ;D

No, we are not going to drop the first application, but I don't regret spending the money on the second application now.

And yes, it was a good idea to marry first, shame we didn't do it in the very beginning. I was a little bit scared about our US marriage certificate, but again you were right it is absolutely fine. We are both non-US citizens, and it saved us lots of paperwork comparing to the marriage process in France.

@KristieP2018 I can imagine how you feel. I had my own breakdown this weekend, even though the decision has been made, I was thinking what we are going to do if we are rejected. Wish you to hear something soon!

That's what i keep worrying about, if we get rejected. The longer it takes, the more worried I get about it even though there's nothing i can do. It's either a yes or a no.

I've gone over everything in mind and can't see why we would be rejected but until i have a visa in my hand...

I even feng shui'd the bedroom in hopes it would trigger some movement  ;D

As soon as it is not even 30 business days, there is nothing to worry about. But even if it was, it is also not a reason that you will be rejected. It all depends on the pile where your documents are...

I think we all panic over the fear of a rejected application.  The closer I get, the more strange the scenarios running through my head become.   [smiley=dizzy2.gif]

Yes... I can imagine... and as soon as my first application was unlawfully rejected, the scenarios in my head were more and more weird with every day passing by.

So, now it is official, I received my visa. Thank you so much again for all your support and recommendations!!!

My visa vignette is valid from 1st of May till 31st of May. In the letter it’s written that my Brp will be available for collection from 8th of May. Is there any chance that I can pick it up earlier?
Congratulations Katie

You can always try, but the date they give you is usually the date it will arrive at the Post Office by, so it's unlikely to be there earlier... we've even had a few people go to pick their BRP up on the date on the letter but it still hasn't arrived yet, and they've had to wait an extra couple of days for it.

My  wife's part time employer received a call today asking about her position in the company. I wonder what else they will do to inquire about her rental income and verify her bank statements!

I just had a breakdown in the middle of Walmart. I’m trying to stay positive and then something so stupid as not being able to find something on my grocery list because they haven’t restocked something.

I’m praying we hear something this week. I’m about to hit the treadmill and cry it out.

*hugs*

i’m right there with you ❤️
broke down last night watching westworld. fiancé has bouts of depression and goes very silent when it happens. few weeks ago was his dad’s first birthday since he killed himself, which hit fiancé hard. now i haven’t heard from him in over a week. hurts so much that i can’t be there for him, and that i have to deal with this stress of waiting without being able to talk to him :(

lots of running, and lots of baileys in my coffee :P

Today probably wasn’t such a productive day for UKVI because of the administrative changes. To be honest I’m not hoping for anything this week either :(

Amber Rudd resigned.  Sajid Javid was appointed as the new Home Secretary.

I hope he’s ok. I would freak out if I didn’t talk to my husband every day. We talk every day.
