Today probably wasn’t such a productive day for UKVI because of the administrative changes. To be honest I’m not hoping for anything this week either :(

You never know....I don’t think Amber Rudd’s presence had much significance over the day to day operations of visa reviews. I would imagine the upper echelons of the department were less productive today.

I wonder there were many debts owed from office bets on “will she/won’t she” odds?!

*hugs*

i’m right there with you ❤️
broke down last night watching westworld. fiancé has bouts of depression and goes very silent when it happens. few weeks ago was his dad’s first birthday since he killed himself, which hit fiancé hard. now i haven’t heard from him in over a week. hurts so much that i can’t be there for him, and that i have to deal with this stress of waiting without being able to talk to him :(

lots of running, and lots of baileys in my coffee :P

I’m sorry. That must be incredibly tough. I think this process weighs on each of us in our own unique way. I know I’ve been particularly ‘not myself’ over the past few months but am grateful that my husband is patient through it all.
The distance is so tough- I completely understand that. I quiet often think how nice it would be just to have a weekend together but sadly, I know that’s not an option. Hang in there, not easy I know- all will be well sooner than later.

On a positive note I'm so grateful my grandparents are going to be back here in the States on Wednesday. My son and I have been house sitting for them since they left for vacation in Asia 7 weeks ago, same day my husband flew back to the UK. Plus we'll have more relatives visiting next week as well so we'll be a full house. Having family around helps greatly in enduring this wait.

He's ok though, just withdrawn?  Maybe you could check in with one of his friends, just to check that  it's nothing worse than that?

i’ve got friends checking in on him. he’ll be ok, he’s just not online or anything right now. doesn’t want to deal with the mass of “are you ok” messages rolling in :P

same thing happened right after he found his dad. didn’t go online for weeks. i don’t have a phone right now (i live so far in the woods that we don’t really get service so it’s a waste... our internet we got cause the head of the company lives out here too, so we lucked out there).

it’s actually the reason we got together tho. i was the sole caretaker of my grandfather (my best friend since birth). watched him die a terrible death, so when fiancé lost his dad so terribly, nobody else really understood. i did. we bonded over that. so i understand why he’s so withdrawn and not talking right now. it’ll be ok.
