I’m just having a winge kind of moment. But I really hate this in limbo state of life.

It's the worst but it won't last forever. Hang in there.  :)

I know it doesn't take away your frustration and stress, but know that we've all been there.  We know how you feel.  Winge away.  We understand completely.  Meanwhile, you're at 20 BDs... hopefully not much longer to go.  You can do it!
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

It will be over soon! Eat all the local comfort food... You will miss it soon ;) (see JFKimberly's egg roll thread... We are all foodies who miss things back home!)

Totally agree it’s only a week or two more. But it’s the whole “we gave up everything (we literally have 4 suitcases worth of stuff) on a hope”. I think once you hit 20bds you totally feel the pain of waiting more.

So much this!  EAT ALL THE FOOD!  Spend the next couple of weeks making yourself fat with American junk food goodness while you can.

Oh! That’s another problem. I’ve been eating the comfort food and my waist shows it lol. But man I’m going to miss proper Tex-Mex food. And as a north east Texas local my butter hot sauce

You'll walk more over here and healthy food is more affordable ;) That's how I justified it... But admittedly I've had a hard time adapting and my waistline hasn't gone back down yet. It will when I finish getting all the kitchen gadgets I need for home cooking :)

Just wanted to say thanks to all the helpful people here on the forums for all the advice and support.  I got my Sheffield acknowledgement of receiving my application on April 17, and I received my visa in the mail 18 business days later on May 11.  Hoping that those of you currently waiting receive yours quickly as well!

Does anyone know about what the timeline is for this time of year? I keep hearing a variety of timeframes and I’m starting to stress. At least I held out this long keeping a “it will come when it comes” mentality.

Summer applications (anything from late April onwards), could stretch as much as 9 weeks for priority and as much as 5/6 months for non-priority.

That should be max wait times.  Hopefully all are less!  :)

9 weeks! That’s quite a while for priority! Well over the 30 bd goal

I feel like right now it should be faster just now because it seems like I’m one of very few still waiting on this thread. Obviously I know there are other sites and some people may not post but still.

Hand in there!! Sending you lots of support As soon as that email comes, that’s when the wait really sucks (and you resent Sheffield for not putting the decision in the email)!

Is it a fair assumption that if I don’t have an email by 5pm I’m time I probably won’t for the day?
