UPS just came. I'm in! Can't wait to leave this California heat....for a heat wave in the UK.

Congrats! Mine came today too and I'm in! So happy and relieved.

Hi!

So the wife and I got our "package received" confirmation email on May 16 (priority) and since people are getting their applications approved that sent theirs a week or two later after that, we're wondering if that's a bad sign, or if their office just... doesn't handle them in the order received? Any insight would be appreciated. :)

There is no rhyme or reason! Sometimes it seems they approve a stack more quickly to improve their stats ;) Don't worry, hopefully you will have your decision soon!

It can be a bit random - not everyone has the exact wait time. Tomorrow will be five weeks of waiting for me, unless the decision email happens to float into my inbox soon.

I just had a look at your previous posts and it does seem that your situation is a little complicated.
Escalating is basically just something that they tell you they are going to do to keep you happy. It's believed that it does nothing except perhaps slow things down even further.
Normally I would say that it's too soon to get your MP involved but in view of the unusual circumstances, maybe that would be worth a try?
Good luck.  :)

Thank you much for the heads up you two. :) It's definitely a maddening process, and I appreciate the input.

They're shipping back the decision now, so for the collective timeline, here are the stats:

Application received email - May 16th

Decision made email - July 3rd

So... 36 BD give or take?
