My Copper cat unrolled every single roll of toilet paper in my house for 16 years......  <sigh>  I miss her.  But I don't miss ALWAYS wrapping the roll of toilet paper back onto the roll.....

You know how some people are too lazy to put the toilet roll onto the spool when they switch to a new roll...?  Someone in my family's home was too lazy once.  I got up to use the toilet in the middle of the night to find that the cat had then pawed at the roll and pushed it into the toilet bowl.  So there was an entire roll of toilet paper in the toilet, all expanded and puffed up from all the toilet water (not perfume in this case), sitting there in the bowl.  And I had to wee!  I couldn't be bothered to deal with it.  I went to the downstairs toilet and left that problem for someone else.

I hope so! I just received an email asking where the biometrics was done?

I've been reading these forums forever but I finally figured out how to post lol.

Are you guys SURE the count down starts when the email is sent or does it start when they receive the package? 15BD to receive my package is a little intense from what I'm seeing. And it was sent with (Premium) Priority through the Visa Application Center in DC, so I'm confused how it wasn't just faxed over or something. :( They told me the next email I was going to see was a decision email but instead it was a 15BD wait for a we received your application email. Super sad face on that one. They should also update their timeline from May. No way do 60% get decisions in 5 days and 73% in 10 lol (that was more of a sad lol).

Online application submitted: 6 July 2018
Biometrics appointment & docs sent: 9 July 2018
Package arrived in Sheffield: Unknown (It was sent through the Premium Settlement Package)
Email Sheffield received app & ECO: 27 July 2018

Waiting:
24BD Since Documents were sent
9BD Since Application was received

This is insane. They received my package in two days. THAT is the application date. Usually they say you have 5 days to get your documents to Sheffield, so that worries me. I'm so sorry you had to wait so long for them to receive your docs! Unfortunately, they can't process anything until they have all of your documents. Additionally, even though you submitted your online application, they didn't receive your package until 27 July, which means it wasn't "in the queue" until then. Your countdown really starts on the 27 July, unfortunately.

The bit that concerns me is the arrival in Sheffield 15BD later.

I applied in NYC the same week as you, and neither my lawyer nor I have received any emails. She doesn't seem concerned and just keeps telling me to be patient. (It's not working!)

I did the Premium Priority Settlement Package. I did it mostly because I got to keep my passport since I was travelling abroad (not the UK) soon after.

You go there and in the same day, they take your biometrics, they make a copy of everything and then give you all of your stuff (your original documents) back. That's it. They are suppose to take care of everything else and tell you the next email you get from Sheffield is a decision email.

After I got the email from Sheffield saying they just RECEIVED it 15BD later, I was terribly confused. So I emailed the VFS people and they gave me something stupidly generic. I emailed them back for documentation or receipt it was sent in a timely manner and also that it was properly listed with priority because who knows at this point what they've done... but they haven't responded. There's no number for them either.

For $1700, I do not do not do not recommend.

It looks like it could be into September at this point, which is horrible because I have an 8 yo daughter that needs to start school. My husband (who is a UK citizen is abroad right now) and I are paying rent on an empty flat, and I was suppose to start my job at the BBC soon and I feel terrible for such a delay with them. The wait has been more than stressful. :(

Excuse my venting. I figured I wouldn't be alone in the frustrations.

I've been wondering if there's someone I can report this to? I didn't even get all the services I paid for (like the SMS notification service) and they are ignoring me at this point (I only sent them 2 emails). I paid a lot of money for a WORSE outcome. Better Business Bureau BBB? Someone in the UK? I mean... even if it doesn't help me, that's an insane price for horrible service that's preying on desperate and vulnerable people. They should be held accountable, especially if it's as you say, a common opinion.

I’m afraid it is not a good service.  Unfortunately, thus far the experience has been that it takes longer than standard priority....

Wow, that was the most depressing thread I've read. My story was way too similar. Well, hopefully, it still comes to me in a reasonable amount of time.

If I only knew, sigh....
