It's the end of another working week in Sheffield, and I'll start the ball rolling on the timeline updates:

46 business days since prep'd for ECO email, no idea when or if we'll hear anything. Could be days, could be weeks could be months.

It's impossible to contact anyone who can find out what is going on or put us back in the queue.
Country: USA (Seattle)
Visa: Settlement - Spouse (Wife)
Priority: Yes
Visa office: Sheffield, UK

Biometrics (USCIS Seattle): 15 Jun 18
Documents at Sheffield (ParcelForce): 20 June 2018
Email "prepared for consideration by ECO": 27 Jun 18
Email "did not include airway bill": 27 Jun 18
Call to escalate after 30bd: twice, no reply

Email "decision made": 3 Sep
Documents returned (to UK): 5 Sep
Passport received (UPS): 5 Sep

(48th bd from "application being prep'd for ECO" email.)

Visa valid from: 10 Sep
BRP pickup from: 17 Sep

I'm so sorry it's been such a miserable ordeal for you and and for @sbdavi and I hope that you'll both get a good resolution very soon. I am only 12 BD in and I'm already feeling the anxiety. So I can only imagine how you both must feel. It's certainly a very tough process and not for the faint of heart. Hang in there. I'll be sending some positive hurry up vibes out. Fingers crossed that next week is YOUR week!

I've been lurking here for a few weeks while my wife's visa application was being processed, we got a decision made email today so I thought I'd post a timeline for you all while we wait nervously - our financials are proceeds from a house sale and I'm very worried about an ECO not liking some of our proof, or not knowing the rules well enough (despite me referring to them specifically  in our paperwork at least twice). I'm basically going to be a wreak for the next 2 days.

Country: USA (Washington)
Visa: Settlement - Spouse
Priority: Yes
Visa office: Sheffield, UK

Biometrics (USCIS Portland): 26th July 18
Email "prepared for consideration by ECO": 31st July 2018
Email "did not include pre-paid envelope": 31st July 2018
Email "ECO assigned":  Never received

Email "decision made": 3rd September 2018
Passport received (UPS): ?
Decision: ?

26 BD from biometrics
24 BD from preparing for consideration email

Welcome!  :)

Don't worry, using proceeds from the sale of a house is really quite common. As long as you sent the required documents, you will be fine.  :)

Wow!! You're making me hopeful with 24 BD... I'm on 13 BD today. I'm hoping my decision will come that quickly. Good luck to you! I'm sure it's going your way!  :D

We finally received our "decision made" email today!!!

UPS ETA: by end of Wednesday at the  delivery address we gave.

First emotion: relief! Then: fear. Rejections take longer than approvals, right?

What is the earliest time UPS might deliver, and how great a risk it could arrive a day early?

Nice problem to have.

Timeline below

Visa: Settlement - Spouse (Wife)

Visa office: Sheffield, UK

Congratulations :).

All we know is that fast decisions are approvals.

However, longer decision times don't necessarily mean a refusal... it could be an approval or a refusal. We had a couple of people last year who waited over 120 working days, and their visas were still approved!

You'd probably have to check the UPS website for their delivery time slots.

Great news.  I have a strong suspicion you have an approval whizzing your way across the pond.   :D

How fast is fast in this context?

My wife and sons applications are on 79 Business Days right now supposedly 'priority'. I'm going to assume your safe if they returned it that quick; must of been an easy decision.
Application: 30/4
Bio Metrics: 7/5
Received in Sheffield Email: 16/5
Request for IHS Fee: 27/7
Decision Made: .....

Ok I don't know if we should be super happy or very concerned  ;D ::) My wife just rang me and said that she received the decision made email today. This is our timeline.

Application Type: Settlement/Spouse Priority
Married: 07/06/18
Online application submitted: 21/07/18
Bio metrics appointment :  27/07/18
Docs sent (DHL): 06/08/18
Package arrived in Sheffield: 08/08/18
Application acknowledgement email: 15/08/18
Decision made email:  04/09/18

That's only 14 BD. 14!!! Unheard of . Keeping everything crossed !

I believe we were on the same timeline as MrsMagpie and a few others. Hope you guys hear soon as well

Update : Just received the DHL tracking email too , glad they figured it out, was worried that they might have problems with the shipping.  We still can't believe this. I really don't know what to make of this. Approvals come faster than refusals, but this fast. We were expecting first week of October as worst case scenario. I have even booked my tickets to go see my wife in October anticipating that it wouldn't come before then!
