Also, for the Appendix 2 did you send in every page of the document or just the pages you filled out? Seems unnecessary to send the three extra pages at the end that just explain how to fill out the form.

I sent all of it! Even the blank pages / instructions.

All my documents have been submitted but I never received an email confirming documents are being processed. Emailed the inquiry line and within 12 hours they confirmed everything is processing.

Hi,
I sent my Priority Spouse Settlement Visa application off from Los Angeles on 2nd November 2018. It was received in New York on 5th November 2018 (as noted on the UPS tracking). I have a few questions.

1. Am i right in thinking a lot of people aren't receiving confirmation of receipt from the scanning hub in New York?
2. What's the correct email to contact to check it's processing?
3. It all seems to be taking a bit longer since this change 7-8 weeks ago, am I right?

Thanks
Priority Spouse Visa

Biometrics & Documents Sent - Oct 29, 2018
Application Received Email - Nov 23, 2018
Decision Made - Dec 7, 2018
Passport Received - Dec 10, 2018
Decision - APPROVED

Hi LAtoUK :).

1. From what others have been saying, you should get a confirmation of receipt from Sheffield about 2-3 weeks after it arrived in New York

2. There is no email to contact, you just have to wait. As long as you know it arrived in New York, it WILL be processed.

3. Yes, seems to be the case... about 2-3 weeks for confirmation of receipt for priority and about 4 weeks for non-priority, but we don’t know how long the whole processing time is taking, because no one has received their visa yet since the changes.

Hi All,

Thank you so much for having this forum. This has helped me immensely in overcoming my stress/anxiety of waiting for my visa. Below is my timeline:

Application type: Settlement - Wife
Applying from: San Francisco VFS Center
Service type: Gold Settlement Package (Just wanted to use an all-in-one package to relieve stress. I'll post my experience after receiving visa)

Wednesday October 10, 2018  *Biometrics and document submitted
Thursday October 11, 2018      *VFS shipped back documents today
Wednesday October 24, 2018 - Day 10  *Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.

I'm currently at 22 business days since biometrics and scanned documents sent from VFS. We shall see! In the meantime,  I welcome all comforting conversations while we await for our Visas haha.

Cheers!

Haha yes! I would like to have American Thanksgiving with my husband once I arrive. That'd be amazing!
Next week for me is gonna be a killer. I've been practicing patience, so has my husband hehe

Hi All!

Just wanted to introduce myself here as I'm in the middle of applying for a settlement visa to be with my husband in the UK. I checked this thread a few months back and saw I should be expecting an email when my application had been received in Sheffield and proceeded to panic for the past couple weeks as I never got one. Its been somewhat comforting to read the most recent posts, however, showing that nobody has been getting these emails since they changed their system. I've seen a few other people with very similar timelines to mine so I'm excited to see how ours compare and hopefully I can help some other hopelessly confused applicants in this crazy process!
Was it a priority application you submitted? I can't stop obsessing over timelines!!! Good luck to you  :)

Welcome!! We’re on a very similar timeline  :) It took me 2 weeks to get my “application received” email so I wouldn’t stress about it.

Hi guys! I'm new here, too.

Feeling pretty bummed that I haven't heard back on my application yet. Was my 30th birthday yesterday and I haven't been able to hug my husband in two months. It plain sucks. I know you can all relate!

Application type: Spouse settlement - priority
Application date: Sept 21st
Biometrics date: Sept 26th

Documents received in New York: Oct 2nd (according to UPS tracking number)
Confirmation email of receipt of docs: Never received

Contacted UKVI by email on November 6th, received confirmation that "your application is being considered and is awaiting a decision". What does this even mean? Should I be expecting to hear back about a decision in the next week or so?

September 21 to November 14 and still no decision? That's so frustrating!!! I hope you hear very soon 🙏

Hi Kaye! Unfortunately that means nothing more than they have the application and it's sitting in the queue waiting to be looked at. Once they pick up an application, it only takes a couple of hours at most to make a decision.  :)

Welcome to the forum! Do not fret, I have been checking every morning my emails, and haven't received anything just yet. I'm waiting for a decision made email and/or call from the VFS centre asking me to pick up my passport. Day 25 for me since biometrics and doc submission - boy have I never been so excited/anxious.
