I have one check-in luggage, and one carry on. This was after donating a ton of items to Goodwill. Definitely makes me live a minimalist lifestyle while waiting to leave haha.

Side note: Has anyone seen the Christmas decorations in the UK?! I'm following a ton of Instagram accounts, and Christmas looks magical in the UK! I cannot wait to celebrate the holidays.
Carnaby Street, one of my favorite places anyway, is absolutely stunning at Christmas time! So sad I’m not going to be there this Christmas

Hmm I think the cost for extra is different from airline to airline. When my husband left on the 3rd it was 100.00 for him to take my suitcase.. that was United

It’s $100 with United Airlines - not sure about other carriers

I'm a travel agent... It's $100 for most mainline carriers for one extra bag and then goes up after that. But first you need to make sure you haven't purchased a Basic Economy airfare. If you do you will have to pay for any and all bags. Feel free to send me a PM when you're ready to book your flights and I can help you out.

No problem. I'm out running errands before fetching the SO at the airport so may be a bit before I can respond.

Thanks for the offer, but I’m using miles to get my ticket so it’s only going to cost me about $5.00

Hello all,
Been a while!!  Hope you are all well especially, Ksand, KFDancer and the inimitable Larrabee...
Can someone tell me how many BD Spouse Visa Priority processing is running at, at the moment?   Presume it is still measured from docs received email to approval?

My brother has just submitted for his new wife.  Is there any other pertinent info on the processing at the moment that might be helpful to know?

Many thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt!  ;D  Did they apply from Paris? I tried to find something for you but wasn't able to. In fact at the moment we don't even know how long applications are taking from the US because they have changed the system. Documents are now sent to New York where they are scanned to Sheffield for processing and lets just say, it doesn't seem to be an improvement...
In-country applications are up in the air just now too, as they are in the process of being handed over to a third party processing company. It's all a bit of a mess at the moment.  :-\\\\

Got my visa!! So excited - next up - book flight!!

Updated timeline:

Wednesday October 10, 2018 -
*Biometrics and document submitted
Thursday October 11, 2018 - Day 1
*VFS shipped back documents today
Wednesday October 24, 2018 - Day 10
*Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.
Monday November 19, 2018 - Day 28!!

PS - i used VFS settlement package, so it was scanned at the center and not in NY. I'm sure everyone will be getting theirs soon.

Best wishes!!
