Here's hoping they are 'maybe' getting through any backlog with the new changes. :) It would be nice to see things back on track for everyone 'timeframe' wise.

Unfortunately this is one of the worst times to apply historically, as everyone wants their visa before Christmas.  That's before the changes have been factored in.  Just cuss anyone on the Facebook group you see who send everything including the kitchen sink.  It's the scanning that's slowed things down so much.  They have to scan every last document.  Even if someone provided two inches of unnecessary documentation....   :-\\\\

It is rather frustrating that they implemented these changes at the busy time of year. I'm hoping things are worked out and slowing down a bit by March. :)
Even when life seems at it's most dark and despairing.. there is within the power to make change.

I’m glad to hear folks who only sent copies are getting approved! That was a major stressor for me after I mailed mine off.

Feel like we haven’t had any news on this thread in awhile...hoping that changes soon.  :)

Haha...I've nvr heard someone else say much less typed cuss.

I'm one of those whose package is large.  I do have a good reason though.

I have 3 applications and 3 appendix 2 and like 20 pages of court documents.

I was just trying to be economical to apply before the increase in IHS. Not realizing its holiday season once again. I dont mind waiting my time, it's the extra unknown time that's going to kill me.

We would have loved to apply now, but sadly, we have to wait until the 6 months passes for when i inherited my mom's house to apply. It's driving us absolutely bonkers lol

When is that 6 months? I thought I was going to have to wait too after hubby had to resign, but he quickly got a job  and was getting almost the same salary, so we used the 1 year rule. Which meant 1 years worth of payslips and bank statements.

Just to note here, that it's not a '1-year rule', it's simply that you qualified under a different financial category, which requires a different number of payslips and bank statements.

You applied under:
"Category B: Less than 6 months with current employer or variable income – person residing in the UK"
...which requires 12 months of payslips and bank statements

If your husband had been with his employer for more than 6 months, you would have applied under:
"Category A: With current employer for 6 months or more – person residing in the UK"
... which requires 6 months of payslips and bank statements

Whereas Robyn n Kris are applying under:
"Category D: Cash savings"
... which requires that the cash savings have been held in full for at least 6 months, or if using proceeds from the sale of property you own, you must have owned that property for at least 6 months before applying.

Exactly what Ksand24 stated. We are doing the cash savings route by using our 401k savings combined with the sale of the property i inherited from my mom. So we have the 6 month rule that has to be in place from when my mom's house was transferred into my name. So earliest we can apply will be 2/24. We figured it is just as easy to do it on March 1st. :)

I just personally call it the '1 year rule' and because I always refer to it as such I typed it like that. I'm just like 6 month rule and now 1 year rule....(hope that didnt confuse anybody)

Are we able to create a timeline summary somewhere or update the main page to this thread for submissions since the NY changes?

I've lost track of all the people waiting and I think timelines are more relevant now than ever since we're all in the same NY boat  :D

Usually when someone wants to chart/track everyone, someone just takes the lead and creates it.  Feel free to create away.  :)
