Oh! And as an FYI since we were talking about it a few pages back, my visa validity started the day I got the approval email (17th Nov) even though I put my intended date of travel as Nov 25th.  My logic is they just issued it immediately because I have the marriage fiance visa so I have 6 months to enter instead of the usual 1 (right?)
Did any other recently approved people have a different start date then they put on the application?

You have 6 months to enter, get married and apply for FLR, you must get it all done in that time.

Does the 6 months start from the day I enter or from the start date printed on my visa? I would assume my visa since it has an expiration date... In which case it is a bit annoying that it has been issued early but won't be a problem for us. Flight booked for Dec 10th and tentative wedding plans for Feb 10th, so we have plenty of time for FLR even if that is the case :)

Congrats :). They have recently been making the vignette valid from about 7 days before the date you request... so that might be it.

The 6 months starts from the date on your visa - you have until the expiry date on the visa to marry and apply for FLR(M), regardless of when you enter the UK.

Yeah, you'll have plenty if time. You just need to have applied for FLR, it doesn't need to have been granted yet, before the expiration date on the visa. And the 6 months starts from the date on the visa, yes.

FLR applications by post are taking around 6 weeks or a little longer at the moment or you can apply in person for a same day decision. That's the more expensive option but it would mean that you would be eligible to work earlier so it might be worth it to you.

My request date for travel was November 7th. My decision email was Nov. 14th, although my approval letter was dated the 13th. And the travel dates the gave me is Nov. 20th through Dec. 20th. No idea what their logic was. But I’m just happy to be approved. 😊

Our MP apparently called UKVI today, but I have a feeling he just called the customer service center. Any advice on how to point him in the right direction?

He stated to my husband that I would get an email from them shortly. Received an email within an hour addressed to the wrong person. This is NOT me

"
Dear Raqeebal Refat,

Thank you for the information you have provided.
We escalated your case to the relevant department. You should be contacted regarding your case within 20 working days from the date of escalation.

Please allow the 20 working days to pass before contacting UK Visas & Immigration International Contact Centre again should you not receive any further correspondence.

Harish
UK Visas and Immigration"

This is the second time during this process that I've received information regarding someone else's visa application. The first time was with VFS they gave me access to another applicants information when I entered my GWF number. I can't believe how bad this is it's appalling.

That’s crazy they would give you info about someone else’s application. I’m sorry you’re going through this evy. I keep hoping each day to see that you’ve received your decision made email. But I also can’t help but think yours is just around the corner. It’s got to be.

Apparently so, I mean VFS gave me someone else's info: Passport number, address, age, everything. That's how I got my Priority fees refunded.

When I received this email this morning I was speechless

Thank you sweetie. This CA girl is sooooo ready to go to the UK
