He stated to my husband that I would get an email from them shortly. Received an email within an hour addressed to the wrong person. This is NOT me

Oh my god I am so so so sorry you are going thru this. That is unreal that they would do this (and for the second time even). Sending you as many virtual hugs as I can <3

Our MP apparently called UKVI today, but I have a feeling he just called the customer service center. Any advice on how to point him in the right direction?

Dear Raqeebal Refat,

Thank you for the information you have provided.
We escalated your case to the relevant department. You should be contacted regarding your case within 20 working days from the date of escalation.

Please allow the 20 working days to pass before contacting UK Visas & Immigration International Contact Centre again should you not receive any further correspondence.

This is the second time during this process that I've received information regarding someone else's visa application. The first time was with VFS they gave me access to another applicants information when I entered my GWF number. I can't believe how bad this is it's appalling.
Wow. Just wow. They have likely broken data protection laws, but I'm not entirely sure how you approach them for that. I would follow up with your MP immediately if you can.

My husband has sent our MP the screenshot from my email. I wonder what will happen next. Still no decision email, despite customer service saying a few days ago "We can confirm a decision has been made". Awful, just awful.

That’s ridiculous. The only reason I logged back on this message board was to check and see if you received your decision email.

My thoughts are with you guys. I know how difficult it must feel. Hope you hear soon! ♥️♥️♥️

My visa has been approved! I got word yesterday. They've dated it to begin two days earlier than I asked for, but that's not a huge issue. Best wishes to everyone making travel plans and heading back to their partner's and my thoughts are with everyone still waiting to get their visas. I still can't quite believe that this part is over!

My passport just came - with the visa approved!!!! Valid from 20th December, which is perfect as it doesn't mean I have to double fly (we're spending Christmas with my family in NY and will leave directly from there).

Noticed one weird thing on the vignette, though. My name and everything is fine, but they misspelled my husband's last name (flipped two of the letters) despite our last names being the same. Should I worry about that?

Congratulations!!! I don’t know if the spelling will be a problem. My guess is probably not. But hopefully someone else can advise you.
