Just wondering if there are still people who did their biometrics in October who haven't received a decision yet?

This whole visa process triggered my bells palsy. Everyone keeps reminding me how bad stress is for my bells palsy....but everyday that passes I get more and more stressed :/

Yeah, we went for Premium Priority so the documents were scanned there and then - that was October 28th. We still haven't heard back, and had to shake them down for a confirmation they'd received it.
I'm hoping for something in the next few days?

I did the same thing. Based on my tracking # my documents arrived Oct 26th. I never got a confirmation email, so I contacted the help line Nov 12th. They replied Nov 13th with the standard "copy-paste" email stating, "we can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision."

Nov 27th I received an email from Sheffield's themselves stating, "Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Center."

We called the help line to escalate our application on Friday (Dec 7th), they said it could take up to 15 days but typically takes 2 days to receive a response. The response could be a decision or a direct response to the escalation.

Here's my timeline so far. I really hope I hear something back before Christmas. It'd be the best Christmas present I'd ever gotten.

Visa Type: Spouse Visa
Priority Service: Yes
Online app submitted: 11/11/18
Biometrics: 11/14/18
Docs sent: 11/16/18
Application delivered in NY: 11/19/18
Application received email: 11/28/18
Decision made email: TBA
Passport received: TBA

where would people say that I'm on business day wise? I know it's not really that accurate but an idea would be nice.

Thank you

Alex

It is so odd how some get an email letting them know their documents have been delivered and others don’t. Maybe down to the person working .. I keep checking my email thinking I may overlook something haha ..

That's cool! Hopefully we both hear back soon.

I'm still confused on where people are counting the days from.

That's because with the flip, we don't know if they are still counting from the "documents received email" from Sheffield as has been done in the past.  Or if it's now from the date the application is received in NYC (I suspect it's this one).  The one it will NOT be is biometric date.  This is the date that is used in other countries.  But in the USA, biometrics are done BEFORE sending the application and therefore UKVI cannot control how long a person takes to send their documents.  So they won't allow people being slow to skew their statistics.  ;)

Ok HUGE PANIC!

just got an email from Sheffield telling me that they require additional documents...

Please provide the following documents:

A copy of your sponsors passport
Your sponsors paylsips covering the last 6 months prior to your application date
Your sponsors bank statements covering the last 6 months prior to your application date
Appendix 2

Please send this document as a scanned attachment within 10 working days to SheffieldDocsRequested.RestofWorld@fco.gov.uk quoting your application reference in the subject line. Please attach the document directly to the email as we are unable to access links to files hosted on sites such as Dropbox or Google Drive

They have all of this and as someone on here told me, they have the originals and the copies. I haven't got any documents to send them!

I'm absolutely ripping my hair out right now.

Someone please help

I know! As someone who works in a sector of IT it doesn't make sense how this is not an automated process. Tbh, the way they run things I almost feel sorry for the people scanning the documents as obviously the system doesn't help them do their job properly, hence this affects us!

Your timeline is close to mine.
From Bio date you are: 19wd
From NYC: 16WD

I've minus Thanksgiving from your count.

Funny how you have received email but I haven't.

Don't panic. Does your sponsor have the ability to download a pdf of the bank statements and payslips? They can send you a copy of their photo page, and you can complete appendix 2 again. I would think if you add the comment that the originals are in NYC and these were digital versions of the same documents they will accept them.
