That’s the exact same e-mail I got Kelks!
And you were right, they responded this morning with that e-mail, as well as a personalized one that said my app was being processed.

Finally got our ECO email today, was this the standard wording on everyone?

I applied priority but this is saying 12weeks. I'm just afraid our application is not being treated as priority.

It's standard email wording and those are the official service standards times published by UKVI for settlement visas:
- 95% of all applications (priority and non-priority) processed in 12 weeks
- 100% of all applications (priority and non-priority) processed in 24 weeks

It does mean though, that it's likely the previous email you received saying one of your visas had been processed was incorrect, because if you're just receiving the Sheffield email now, that means it has only just been logged into the system in Sheffield and hasn't been looked at yet. The phrase ''being prepared for consideration by an ECO' simply means they have put it in the priority line with all the other applications that are waiting to be picked up by an ECO.

Is that what the generic email looks like .. it is worded odd, not really sure what it says  :)

Yes, that's the generic email - it reads weirdly because it's aimed at people applying from all countries, but each country has its own application process.

In a nutshell:
We have your application and it has been put in the waiting line. It might take up to 12 weeks to process, but priority applications will normally be processed faster.

Longer version:
Paragraph 1: We have your application and it has been put in the waiting line.
Paragraph 2: submit your documents in this order, if you haven't done so already and if you are not in the US or Canada
Paragraph 3: ignore paragraph 2 if you have already submitted your documents
Paragraph 4: we aim to process applications within our service standards time. If we can't, we'll send you a 'non-straightforward' email
Paragraph 5: If you have paid priority, your application will be put to the front of the line and should be processed more quickly, but if it is considered non-straightforward, it could take the full 12 weeks

Hello everyone! Me again...

I'm caving in and buying an email. I know it probably won't tell me anything that I don't already know but as I'm just a worrier I'm going to make sure I do *everything* I possibly can.

I cannot seem to find the IHS receipt that I thought had been downloaded and so I don't know my IHS number...

Is there any way that I can find it?

At least by emailing them it'll be on record somewhere that I made contact with them should worst come to worst.

Thank you all for your help and patience.

Alex

Congrats to everyone. Quick question for clarification. I get the 28day rule (mostly) but someone on a group i'm in is making it out that you can't submit your application the same day the date of a bank statement/payslip is dated. I'd love to get clarification from the experts here. Mainly, my question is, we are looking to hit our bank on March 1st to have them print out the Feb statement so that we can submit our application on March 1st. Is that an issue? I was under the presumption that all financial documents have to be within the 28days of filing. :)
Even when life seems at it's most dark and despairing.. there is within the power to make change.

"Application Is Being Prepared for ECO" Email: 11 March 2019

Thought ECO email meant someone was actively looking at our application now.

Well I've received 2 or 3 other emails from the center telling me that my daughter stuff was decided and she should have gotten the IHS link ( I was still waiting on this email though)

Also my sons email came with his name in the correct order ()

I can rest easy now or until the next couple days.

I take advise from people in this group. You can hit submit and still have a job letter/bank dated the same day you hit submit.

For example in my case: my sons father wrote a letter and it's the same day as the day I applied.

You just cant have anything dated after you hit submit, hence why the recommendation is to gather all the documents and then apply but you can do it all on the same day.

Hope that makes sense.

The email means it’s been received by Sheffield.  It only takes 1-2 hours for an application to be decided.  And they will decide ALL the applications at the same time.  They won’t do them ad hoc at different times.

I know hence why I said above I was still waiting on this email.

I didnt run with it that my daughter was decided and we weren't as I had posted and said that seems odd but shes also 2 and might not do half the checks that they will do on me (I hold nationality in 2 countries and my son does too, plus hes also the step child)

I think that we are in the same group.

We were only able to print and have our bank statements stamped on the 30th November, 2 days after our application was sent. We had everything ready on the 28th but realised that my name change was not on the bank statement. After many back and forths and juggling with work, the earliest I could get it rectified was the 30th.

Literally in tears now. I cannot believe that it’s possible that everything could be refused because of bank statements that hold all the information required is dated 2 days after our application date. After everything.

Yes we are, Caroline is a know it all who sometimes doesnt know anything. . She made me freak out too about my sons paperwork.

Dont cry, I know this is a very stressful process. As someone said they were approved. Take couple deep breaths.

What are the other nationalities?  Any chance they are commonwealth countries and you would have the option of ancestry visas?  Though, I’m probably asking this too late.  ;)

Sorry for the confusion, I didn’t realise that you knew the email meant the application was received.  I thought you read it as “actively being processed”.

I’m sure you won’t have much longer to wait.  They’ve been nailing the six week target for priority since the switch.  😊
