It would be nice if they could confirm that you are in the priority queue instead of the non-priority queue. Especially since there are people that applied 1- 2 weeks after you getting their approvals already.

Problem is, they don't have access to that information. They are not located in Sheffield and cannot physically see your package... all they can do is type in your application information to their computer and read off what it says.

The phrase:

"I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision."

just means:

"Sheffield have received your application and it is now sitting in either the priority or the non-priority queue"

... which you already know anyway, because you got the same information from Sheffield weeks ago when they sent their confirmation email.

when sending the email, they are asking for payment again, even though i have paid for the first email. also, FYI, that  email address was incorrect, it directed me to the Visa site
Just reply in your 1st response from them, you do not have to pay again.

They just emailed me on Monday , I copied and pasted the email address to you. Dont know why its incorrect.

Well after seeing others with dependents on Facebook getting approvals. I came to the conclusion something is wrong with my applications. They told me yo call my MP I told them no, my husband said we should wait.

Well I couldn't shake the feeling. So I called the MP. I told him my name and the 1st thing he said was I know that name we have been working on your case.

He confirmed that my applications at one point could not be located, then something was wrong with one of the names  and lastly my children applications was standard while mine was priority. I explained everything and told him I had sent the priority receipts in December when the help line emailed me and said 60WDS. Told him I would forward the emails again this time including the MPs office.

He response and said he has forwarded my receipts to home office and ask them to process my applications ASAP.

He even asked if I'm out of my processing times, I said well that's a catch 22. The service I paid for yes I'm over that time, standard processing I'm not over it. He said they should not offer a service they cant provide.

He was super nice and super helpful actually was glad that he was already working on my case.

I also started to tell him all the issues we have been having in New York. He said let's get you your travel documents and then I want to know all the issues in New York. He said it's a horrible and expensive process and it shouldnt be that way.

Oh man it is so hard waiting. We got our Sheffield documents received email on the 17th and haven't heard a thing since. My email was "full" over the new year and I am worried that we received a document request email from Sheffield  and somehow missed it? I have rectified my email now and most everything that was stuck came through on the day I fixed it but its nagging at me.

In everyone opinion is paying for an email to "escalate" this worth it? Or should we try calling the MP? How would we actually go about calling our MP. My husband is in Bath.

Hope and faith can only hold us over for so long .

:) Thanks

Odd.  I’ve never heard of an MP actively working a UKVI application without having been contacted by their constituent.

As they requested a missing document, I suspect you’ll have your decision email before the week is out regardless.
