Odd.  I’ve never heard of an MP actively working a UKVI application without having been contacted by their constituent.

As they requested a missing document, I suspect you’ll have your decision email before the week is out regardless.
I had emailed them on December 12th, but they had not responded to my email. I decided to call today and that's when he said home office had emailed them on Monday in regards to my applications.

I haven't received the ihs links so I doubt I will be getting an approval this week. The IHS has to be paid  before they approve the applications.

Yes, it was just a standard email. And the same day I got that one of the girls in the FB group got a decision made email but it was long and told her reasons she was denied.

Yeah I think I saw hers. Maybe they are changing the process now. Actually letting you know that you’ve been refused in the decision made email rather than waiting for your passport to find out. A very cruel way to do it, regardless of the outcome.

My wife’s passport is on her way to her now so hopefully everything is okay.

It would be nice if they could confirm that you are in the priority queue instead of the non-priority queue. Especially since there are people that applied 1- 2 weeks after you getting their approvals already.

Yeah, it was bittersweet letting you guys know that I had the email. I’m happy that we are finally done (I hope) but I feel terrible that people before me are still waiting. I trust that you will be hearing very soon and we will celebrate that!! All the love @mrspoetryman

Going back several years to when processing happened in New York, the decisions came by email. Most people preferred it that way and thought it was kinder because you knew much sooner and didn't have to suffer waiting through the last few days until the package arrived.

So if they are changing back to doing that, it's probably a good thing for most!  :)

55 working days after sending in our priority application, we've now escalated to our MP who has lodged a complaint with the Home Office.
Hopefully, some progress finally comes from it.

We all should try and get a refund for this priority service we aren't receiving.

Although they say it's non-refundable, it never hurts to try. They have surprised me from time to time!

Yes but in our cases or mine the mp specifically told me my children applications is standard. Meaning I paid for a service I'm not even receiving.

Maybe a stupid question but just have to ask.
The partial government shutdown would not affect any checks the UK has to do would it ?

Yes, that would be your argument in favour of a refund.  :)
