I haven't given notice as yet except for my apartment (so I will be homeless with 2 kids ), my friend sister actually offered that I can stay with her. My sister is also moving and need my help to pack. It's a hectic period. This week is need to be ours.

Then we have to hope the bad weather and the government shutdown ends soon. Some flights are getting cancelled because there aren't enough workers for security screenings. One more aggravating thing after another! ???

I got this email today but it came from the ECO. Guess I have to wait until February. This is for my sons application. At this point we are over the priority times unless they just started the clock from receiving my email with my priority receipts last Thursday.

Happy Monday.

My bosses know everything that’s happened since we got engaged.  They ask everyday if I’ve heard anything, I’ve been there almost 28 years and have seen the things I’ve gone through so they are really happy for me. Waiting for them to hire my replacement to train.. but I they know my fears of a denial so maybe they are waiting for my approval ... I live with my brother right now

I have read about people getting these emails then the next day they get a decision made email.

It’s hit and miss , take this email and remind yourself your app is actually being looked at by an ECO.
They have reviewed yours they reviewed your daughters asked for some info now they are on your sons !!  Then it’s a big fat “YES”
Stay strong you will get good news soon 🤗

I haven't received anything about mine (only the initial ECO). Just my children at this point. Found it a little strange that I got this email from the ECO, but it's all good. I'm just patiently waiting at this point.

And you have no more information than you did prior to emailing them. You are only out of money.

Stop emailing and just wait. That's my advice to all of you.

I have never seen a more impatient group of applicants in the past few years and it seems no matter how much the resident experts tell all of you to not email, you feel the need to give this 3rd company provider a steady income of easy money.

And this isn't just to you, MrsPoetryMan,  this applies to all of the current and future applicants.

Everyone already knows it is going to take awhile so I don't understand the impatience. Just wait. It will happen. It will be your turn. You will be contacted if they need more information or when your application has been decided.

The process changed right as most of this batch applied, so I can see why everyone is nervous and it just changed recently within the last week and someone package is now lost and with no documentation or anybody to ask. I see why myself and others are panicked.

Plus at this point we are no longer priority. So we could say they quickly made money off us for a service we arent getting. We must can voice our frustration.

At this point if the email is paid for you can email and escalate as much as you want (to get your money's worth).

You ARE priority though.  Priority gets your application to the front of the queue - which you know yours is as you’ve had that confirmed through your emails and your MP.  Priority does not guarantee a processing time.  Over the summer (peak), priority takes about 9 weeks.  Every year.  It’s never as long over the holidays, but it definitely goes over 6 weeks every year.  Unfortunately you guys are the ones caught up in it.

Do know that we GET it.  We’ve all been there.  But we do try to encourage you guys to try to keep busy, put it at the back of your mind as best as possible, and to not throw away good money.  But if it gives you piece of mind, go for it.  Just know that frequently “the email/call line” give wrong information (saying a decision has been made when it hasn’t, sending people into a tailspin of panic when they don’t get the decision email for another month, just to discover the information given was incorrect and the visa was only JUST issued).

It’s a cruel, horrible process that needs transparency.  We all agree.  And we all HATE UKVI.  But unfortunately, this is just a taste of how frustrating it can be to live in the UK.  It’s like a sorority hazing.   ;D
