Every country have there own little charm. Healthcare in the US is not the best. There is a better care with patients up North but I'm yet to meet a great Dr down south. I try not to even get sick at this point.

It’s interesting to read peoples take on the UK and the complaints. I’ve lived in the UK before and find zero of these things, as mentioned in previous posts, to be true. I was down south and there was nothing third world about it! Guess it’s all down to expectations and personal circumstance. I much prefer the UK to the US and can’t wait until Saturday, when I’m on my way home!

A lot has changed with the NHS in the last few years. There has also been other regulations & austerity that has impacted a number of things. With brexit and recent laws regarding employing immigrants there's a whole new level of resistance to employing us because its riskier than a UK citizen, along with their focus on qualifications and specific experience vs recognising transferable skills. I'm happy you had such a great experience, but that doesn't make our struggles any less real. It's important for people to know the UK isn't perfect and they will have potential roadblocks in their first few months/years here.

Point taken and wasn’t trying to belittle anyone’s struggles. Nowhere is perfect and as I said, different people will have different experiences depending on their particular circumstances. I wish everyone well and hope the good outweighs the bad for anyone wherever they live. I just try to focus on the positive
