I hope so. They did say they cannot give a time scale for when a decision will be made, however please be assured that we are continuing to work on the application and will make a decision as soon as we are able to, we aim to contact you as soon as an update is provided.

I need someone to help me step away from the Facebook group… I keep seeing wrong advice being given left and right and it is really hard for me not to matter-of-factly tell the people asking for help that they’re getting incorrect advice!!! I feel like I'm coming off as such a b*tch but I hate to see people's time and emotions wasted 😕

You are fighting a loosing battle, I'm afraid. Even KFdancer couldn't convince them that they were wrong, so took herself out of it.
You should too, for the sake of your sanity!  :)

I just want to help, but it's fighting a losing battle.  I have been arguing with someone for the last two days who keeps insisting that you must label every single photo with the name of the people in the photo, date the photo was taken, what you were doing in the photo, etc. I was just like I sent a couple of photos and didn’t even label them and got approved and the other person insisted that I must have just gotten lucky... just infuriating really.

Easiest thing to do is to leave the group. You can't fix stupid and if people choose to believe someone giving wrong information, there is nothing you can do about it.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I have left all but one and it’s AMAZING!

I gave up when telling people they were stopping the in person decisions in country and everyone deemed me wrong.  Shame I didn’t stick around to say TOLD YOU SO!

Yep! I’ve left expat groups too because of the negativity alone, not even because there was incorrect advice. If it’s getting to you, the best thing you can do for yourself and mental state is to just leave

Just saw the post as well. You were fine. Sadly, there are a few in that group (one person in general that i can think of ) that can be quite the bully on giving info that is resoundingly wrong. I try to correct when I can, but most times just like to see what approvals come in (timeframewise) and what issues arise.
Even when life seems at it's most dark and despairing.. there is within the power to make change.
