We cannot give a time scale for when a decision will be made, however please be assured that we are continuing to work on the application and will make a decision as soon as we are able to, we aim to contact you as soon as an update is provided”

I am sure, I reached out to the MPS office this week to see if they heard anythinga and they said it takes upto 2 weeks to get a response  ???

Better than what I was told! I spoke to the PA at my MP's office yesterday and was told the "good news" is that home office HAVE to respond. The "bad news" is that they up up to 20 WORKING DAYS (so a month) to respond.
My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019

'Mommy, Wow! I'm a legit Brit now!'

That's crazyness... I understand they have others, but we are special  ;D
When Andy emailed his MP, he contacted Home Office that next morning and was told basically what we know already "scanner issues" but..they "said" (and we know what that means) they are working on it as "priority" at this moment.. Maybe we all will get answers today or soon.. Positive thoughts everyone  :)

They said that we could get a response earlier but that they *could* take up to 20 working days at max before they were required to give a response. I was just shocked about that as there doesn't seem to be anywhere to call or email that has direct access to the system to give anything shorter than 3-5 working days notice and that seems insane to me! You have to go through gatekeepers first.

Fingers crossed for you that you get your response soon.

Hi all! Forgive my ignorance, but what is an MP?

My docs have only just arrived at NY last Wednesday, so I'm only on day 7, but I'm following along and it seems like technical issues have realllly been delaying the wait time lately. I'm already nervous, and I shouldn't even be expecting my "docs received" email yet!

Good luck to all of you - really hoping they can get these issues worked out soon.

Applied from: Florida, US
Priority: Yes
Online application submitted: Jan 25 2019
Biometrics & docs mailed: Jan 29 2019
Documents received in NY: Jan 30, 2019
Documents received by Sheffield on: Mar 4, 2019
Case Escalated: Mar 20, 2019
Case Escalated again: Mar 27, 2019
Decision Made Email: Apr 3, 2019
Received Passport: Apr 4, 2019

Hi, Best of luck to you and maybe they will have the scanning issues all fixed so you won't have to wait so long.
MP is Member of Parliament ( i assume like a city councilman or something to that effect, the experts or someone else will have to proper wording  ;) )

MP is Member of Parliament ( i assume like a city councilman or something to that effect, the experts or someone else will have to proper wording  ;) )

As MrsPoetryMan said, MP stands for Member of Parliament.  However, they are a bit more than just a city councilman.  Parliament is the British legislature (analogous to Congress in the US), and your MP is similar to your Representative in Congress.
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)
