I did the regular priority in the end and not the $1900.

Once I understood the difference between the two it made little sense, but the only reason we considered doing the $1900 service was that we needed my Passport for the letting agency for verification so we could secure our rental home. Turns out they wanted to see the visa and not just my passport and once we realized that we said no to the $1900. Hoping they randomly get through this batch really quick!

I Hear you there! I know, on average, Feb-April have always been the 'quieter' months for people applying. So hopefully they can get the processing done in a timely manner. :) One can hope.

It's been all over the place recently!   Have you had all of it in one day yet?  ;D

Luckily no snow but gale force winds, rain and sunshine. This past week has been interesting with all the different storms.

Hi. I’m so glad you all are there and getting settled. I fly out the 28th yay
Oh wow the weather here has been something else, we had that” land hurricane “ they called it , sustained 54 mph wind with guest up to 84mph, a lot of damage around the city and lots of semis blew over. Gotta love March weather in the Panhandle.

Yeah, everyone tells you that it's rainy.  No one warns you that it's windy too!

So how long, in general, does it take to get from NY to UK, once your application arrives?

I've been paying close attention since I've been waiting a little over 30 WDs now... it seems the people who applied before mid-February got their email from Sheffield in about 21-24 WDs. The people who applied after mid-February have been receiving it much faster - like 2-3 days it seems. Stinks for all of us who applied before!! But, how could we have known. I'm kicking myself now!

Is that for a decision, or the “we got your stuff” email? That is crazy long

That’s for the ‘We got your stuff’ e-mail!

It seems there has been a backlog, because some of the applications submitted in November and December have been taking 50-60 working days from being received in New York (with the first email received about 20 working days after that).

Lately though, the first email has been sent within 2-3 days and it has been taking around 15-30 days for a decision.
