Dear All,

I hope this email finds you well. My fiancee just received her (i presume) fiancee visa today! - Visa Type: D-Marriage/CP Standard?

Our time line was:

9th April: Online Submission
15th April: Biometrics at Chicago Premium Center
21st May: Decision made email (this was the first email we received from the UKVI) - 22 BD
22nd May: VFS email stating documents have been dispatched.
23rd May: Recieved Visa/Passport and Approved.

A massive thank you to all those who have helped us get to this stage, like everyone says this forum is absolutely invaluable and we would have been quite lost without you all! So thank you for all the time people have taken to answer  our random and silly questions over the last few months!

Now wedding in August and AF FLR (M) at the start of September to go!

Once again thanks and good luck to all those who are still waiting

Yours Aye

Just wondering, is the UPS tracking always accurate? Our return label hasn't activated yet, but I feel like I've read some stories where they got their passports without the tracking ever updating. But I might just be making that up. I was really hoping since we got the email at 8am CST on Thursday that it would be out the door before the holiday weekend. But I am still feeling better knowing a decision has been made and that it didn't just fall behind someone's desk and disappear forever!

After a frustrating day of no package and no UPS tracking updates, I managed to get a hold of a real person at VFS who said that they can confirm my visa was re-issued on 26/05/19 and that they are printing my documents and will have it in the mail in 2 business days. I'm a little confused because nothing should have been re-issued, just issued, but it still sounds like a yes and I'm going to tentatively thinking about starting to pack?

Fingers crossed!  Interesting that they say it was reissued on May 26 - that's a Sunday.

Would you mind sharing how you got hold of a real person at VFS?

I hope the next few days somehow pass quickly for you.

Thank you! Yeah, the date and the re-issue are both weird. But still sounds more like a yes than a no, so I'm hesitantly optimistic.

And I eventually found an email in a yelp review of the VFS center. I sent them an email and received an automated FAQ response, but about 30 minutes a human emailed me back. Am I allowed to post the address here? Or I can DM it to you if you need it?

I'm not sure if posting an email address is ok - I'm pretty new to this website.  Feel free to DM me.

Thanks!

I would probably send a PM. We post publicly available info here but it sounds like that might not be published on their site if it was only in a yelp review. Hopefully you didn't give too much personal info? I do worry about scammers too when it comes to visas.

Hi all, after weeks of silence we received the settlement visa today. We had no emails confirming receipt or that a decision had been made, it just turned up in the post. The UPS tracking label wasn't activated either so no UPS tracking exists.

I realise that not hearing anything is a pain, but it was processed within 30WD.

Documents successfully delivered in NY (according to FedEx): 23/04/2019
Decision and Passport received: 29/05/2019

Margo, I didn't even think about scamming being a possibility, but I only sent my name and application number and they didn't try to get any other info. I guess we'll see when my package arrives if they gave accurate information or not. At the very least I'm enjoying the hope!
