Hi ya'll, I thought I'd toss my timeline into the fold. Crossing fingers this priority settlement visa gets done in the 30 day window, I put my hopeful departure date as 5 July (a bit optimistic probably).

You actually want to put the earliest possible date you will be available to travel within 30 days of. If the visa isn’t processed by then, it will just be made valid starting from just after the decision is actually made instead.

However, if you put a date too far ahead and the visa is processed much faster, it will still be made valid from the later date you put which means you can’t enter the UK any earlier than that.

I.e. if you put a date of, say, June 15th and the visa decision isn’t made until July 15th, then the visa would just be made valid starting in mid-late July.

But if you put a date of, say 15th September, but the visa decision was made on July 15th, the visa would not be valid for travel until early-mid Sept, which would mean waiting an extra 2 months after getting the visa before you could move to the UK.

Have you seen any updates on your tracking  so far? Got the decision made email yesterday morning. My tracking still shows “shipment ready for UPS.”

It seems like they can take a few days to get it sent out, so I’m probably just being impatient, but ohmygoshijustcantakethewait.

Just had my biometrics, sent package off at UPS store. I didn't see that the paper they gave me at the support center had a back with priority instructions, so instead of writing "Priority Service" in black ink on the package, I wrote "Priority Settlement Visa" in red ink... lol. I hope that doesn't screw up anything... I'm a nervous wreck, I just want this to be over with.

It should be settlement priority anyway, you'll be fine with what you wrote.  :)

I'm hoping anyone who will be arriving in the UK shortly will report back on their experience using e-gates.  Is it still required to get your passport stamped?  Were you able to get a stamp using an e-gate if you ask an agent?

Thanks!
