I had a family member and a UPS manager both insist that next day shipping would be pointless because my package would arrive in NYC on a Saturday and nobody at VFS would be working on that day. Well, it was received on Saturday so clearly they don’t know what they’re talking about!

I didn’t see a priority fiancé visa thread so I’m posting my info right here. I’m so relieved! :\\\'(

Thank you UK Yankee!

Congratulations :D!

There’s only one priority thread for all visas, as fiancé and spousal visas are lumped together under ‘settlement visas’, so their processing times are the same.

I am glad you have had some confirmation!
I still have not had any word. All my other emails about payments have arrived so I know they have the right email. But I’m just blindly hoping I’m one of the unlucky ones who never gets an email and just gets an approved visa in the mail a month later!

Getting very anxious waiting for a decision email lol. Currently living with some friends... really hoping this week is the week we hear back. I've looked at various timelines and have seen that 34 days seem to be the magic number, so I'm hoping tomorrow? Who knows.. twiddling my thumbs at the moment.

Hope your decision comes soon.  :)  Hang in there!

And just be aware, not everyone gets the email so it's also worth keeping an eye on your return tracking information for any movement.

Thought I’d add my name to the list

Fiancé visa application - US citizen

Biometrics complete 2nd July 19
Application mailed to NY 3rd July 19
Application received in NY 5th July 19

I do not receive any emails from NY saying they had the documents but tracking shows it was delivered to a person, so I assume all is well. We sent the documents in over Independence Day so the irrational part of me said they probably loose it because of the craziness of the holiday.

Time to play the waiting game now. Good luck to anyone else in the queue

My timeline is identical (delivered to New York on the 7th of June, but didn’t require signature, probably should’ve done that but I can’t change that now) and I have been refreshing my tracking info obsessively heh. Mostly because I haven’t gotten any emails at all. Twiddling my thumbs as well.

Yeah, mine didn't require signature, either, but I did get the "we got it" email. I wish they were a little more consistent. When we went through the US immigration with my wife, everything has a very exact order, you know what to expect and when (for the most part). This uncertainty is driving me crazy. Not much longer for both of us, I hope!

Congratulations :D!

It’s normal for your visa to start 7 days before the date you requested - that’s what they do as standard :).
