Just a general question: Does the decision email also come from VISAINFO.SHEFO@fco.gov.uk ?
Yes it does! At least that is who mine came from yesterday!

If I don't hear by tomorrow, should I email or call them? It'll be six weeks since the docs were received in New York and we paid for priority... Starting to regret having paid for it. Also, now I'm seeing everyone using a new website as of June 15 and we used the Visa4Uk/VFS system so I'm hoping that didn't screw us.
Submitted online application: 26 May 2019
Biometrics: 06 June 2019
Documents received in NY: 07 June 2019
Received at Decision Making Centre: 25 June 2019
Decision made email: 31 July 2019
Documents and passport returned:

It won’t have - if anything, it might be the new system that has some kinks to work out... since the Visa4UK system has been used for over 12 years and the new system for only a couple of weeks, and UKVI may not be familiar with the process yet.

Also, the summer months are always busiest and so there’s no guarantee you will get your visa within 30 working days, even with priority. I think recent applications have taken around 35 working days but it has been known to take longer at this time of year.

Even back in Jan/Feb it was taking up to 60 working days for priority applications and up to 120 working days for non-priority.

Thanks, yeah, I'm certain we're not alone in waiting, but it is disheartening to see other timelines that submitted after us getting approved in FB groups. Just becoming very impatient lol

If I go through the new gov portal do I still need to use VFS?

Apparently you can purchase priority through the new online application system. And you can mail your passport etc via UPS yourself so, no, you don't need to use VFS.

That’s great news! My UPS has never updated so I’m praying it will be here today so I don’t have to wait over the weekend!

I'm going to be waiting over the weekend. Splashed out the extra for Next Day Air, but it isn't (Saturday - Next Day Air).  So anxious to get it so I can start all the planning with Flights, shipping, and getting our dog over.
I hope yours shows up.

I did as well and I received the email on Tuesday! Fingers crossed that it arrives today and is good news!

Thankfully most everything has already been shipped over and I don’t have that much to worry about other than getting my flight ASAP! Good Luck!

Congrats and best of luck!

Your post prompted me to call the number and pay the exorbitant fee to talk to someone. I was told that they were going to 'escalate' it since its been over six weeks but that even that could take "15 working days."

Unfortunately, that is what they tell everyone to pacify them and justify the fee for the call. It's nothing but a racket.
