I received my decision email today!
I hope I get my visa back this week. I had two day so I’ll be checking on Thursday staring at the window all day most likely!

Yeah after I emailed them my Priority receipt they said it would be done ASAP

Yesterday I received an email that they were forwarding my application to an ECO since it was in a Standard pile. Today I received a decision made email with NO denial attachment! I know I won’t know until I receive my passport back but this gives me some additional hope.

Yesterday I received an email that they were forwarding my application to an ECO since it was in a Standard pile. Today I received a decision made email with NO denial attachment! I know I won’t know until I receive my passport back but this gives me some additional hope.

I first emailed the inquiry email (the one you have to pay for) that they include in the email for documents received. Then they asked me to send a receipt to VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gov.uk
which is an email where people send requested documents. They gave me a subject to put on the email so unfortunately I think you have to call or email the enquiry service first (which they charge for) asking for them to confirm the priority status and then they ask for you to send the receipt if they find out it’s not priority.

It was a big mess.

Girl, I want this SO BAD for you!!!!!!  I've always felt a connection as I know our babies are similar ages.  I cannot believe the ride you guys have been on.  APPROVAL!  APPROVAL!  APPROVAL!  I'll crack some bubbly on my side too! 

Edit: Nevermind, just this second got the decision e-mail through.... fingers crossed!

This is getting pretty disheartening to see people who applied far after us getting their responses already.

We emailed them on Jul 25th to find out what's going on and got:

Thank you for your enquiry.

We are continuing to work on your application which is currently awaiting an assessment. We are unable to provide any timescales to when a decision will be made however I have escalated this to the appropriate Entry Clearance team so that it can be progressed as quickly as possible.
