I can't remember now, and am too lazy to go back and find it, but was there anything special about your application?  Any ideas you might have as to why it's taking longer?  Or is it just bad luck?

No, nothing at all.

I don't think there's anything unusual particularly with our application, just bad luck I guess.

It's very frustrating but we just have to wait patiently

They can literally come any time of the day or night!

One by product of the excruciating wait is we've deliberately not talked about it too much as for a while it became all we spoke about.

I sent an email to my MP yesterday for him to chase it, not sure how effective he'd be as he's pretty anti-immigration.

Shame this wasn't 18 months ago as our MP was also the Prime Minister.

Scheduled delivery date was today. Now it has changed to information unknown 😩 Dosnt help that it is 6pm here but only 12am in Chicago so I already feel like I've been waiting all day

Apologies for not posting sooner, but our application was approved last week!

Couldnt have done it without the huge help of everybody here.  You're all absolute stars.

We're thinking of everyone who is still waiting, especially AHOXLA.  I'm sure you will hear soon.

Gonna have some Qs regarding our next steps once my fiancee is here and we are prepping for FLR(M), but I'll save them for a separate thread!

Sadly my MP wasn't able to get any info from them both times he called. All they said that it was "escalated". I also filed a complaint with UKVI for sending me  conflicting emails and emails with the wrong persons name/info and they've basically stated because I've received my visa I have nothing to complain about.

I'm guessing a solicitor with a focus on privacy issues and the person whose info you received may have a different opinion on your right to complain. That's ridiculous

I know 😩 Just read, around xmas time they have part time workers delivering up until 11pm!
