I have no idea, as it was our lawyer who submitted the documents. It's yet another of the things I suspect she may have got wrong. We'll find out eventually, I guess.

Ah, yeah - if she didn’t, it may not have been put in the priority pile, in which case it may be processed as non-priority... which would tie in with your current processing time.

I was curious how long everyone seems to be pending and based on a previous post I added onto the list of users.

Please let me know if I need to add to this or put incorrect dates / business days. I did it for myself, but thought others might like to see the status.

Do we know what the actual processing time is for priority service? Or is it upto 120 days for all applications?

The processing time it what it is at the time.

But the service standard is 12 weeks (target). However in peak times processing can extend well beyond that.

I'm guessing you're screwed in that scenario.

12 weeks for a Priority service application?

Priority only gets your application to the front of the line.  It does not improve the service standard.  All bets are off once the application is opened.

I don’t believe so - and if it’s been 45 BD already then there’s not going to be much, if any benefit in having it moved to priority now.

You could attempt to get a refund of the priority fee afterwards if you don’t believe it was processed as priority.

So, some news on my side... Although I don't understand what it all means...

E-mailed to UKVI 13 December to ask about status through their paid service and didn't get a response.

Called UKVI following non-receipt of response on 2d January, they said that they couldn't see my GWF number in their system. the operator said they'll escalate my case, but I didn't receive any written confirmation either

E-mailed UKVI again on 12th of January following non-receipt of any confirmation... received a response: "Thank you for the information you have provided. We escalated your case to the relevant department on 03/01/2018. You should be contacted regarding your case within 15 working days from the date of escalation.
Please allow the 15 working days to pass before contacting UK Visas & Immigration International Contact Centre again should you not receive any further correspondence."

Today received an email from Sheffield (VISAINFO.SHEFO@fco.gov.uk) "Thank you for your enquiry. Apologies for this delay - I have passed this on to the relevant team to be looked at. If you have any further enquiries, please visit our website at www.GOV.UK. Kind Regards"

So... no idea what it all means...
Application#1(Fiance)

Application #2 Spouse (from France)
Bio-metrics Appointment and docs scan 08 March 2018
Documents Received in Sheffield email: 05 April 2018
Decision made email from Visa center: 25 April 2018

It's been said on here that "escalation" doesn't exist and it's basically lip service to appease us.

The experts can maybe shed more light on it though.

It usually means nothing other than that your visa has not been processed yet - escalation is not a thing (it’s just something they tell you will be done but then nothing happens).

You contacted a third party call centre nowhere near Sheffield who have no actual access to your application and are known for giving bad and incorrect advice.

HOWEVER, the last email you got is the actual email address for UKVI in Sheffield... so it could be that they actually did contact the relevant department and that maybe this will help.

Other than that, all you can really do is wait and see what happens.
