HOWEVER, the last email you got is the actual email address for UKVI in Sheffield... so it could be that they actually did contact the relevant department and that maybe this will help.

Other than that, all you can really do is wait and see what happens.

Well, as per the logic I should probably wait another 15 business days before contacting them again  ;D

Honestly?  Contact them will only cost you money and not get results.  All it will do is make you feel like you did something, but it doesn't *actually* do anything.  Truly the best thing you can do right now is sit tight and try to get your mind off the process.  This is coming from a place of kindness!  Big hugs!

This is the worst part of the wait!
I totally staked out our front door and the guy still managed to leave it there without me noticing!  They just leave it usually.

Oh yes, our tracking number didn’t work either!!!  When it eventually arrived, I could see that whoever entered it was off by one digit!

The good news is that if it gets picked up today, you’ll have it Friday and won’t have to wait the weekend!   :D

The day before my package was supposed to arrive I was able to have it held for pickup by requesting online. That way I could drive there right when they opened at 10am and not have to wait.  I brought scissors and opened it in the car!  ;D. Just thought I'd mention that as an option if its possible for you!
