Meant to ask you if you'd consider taking on a custom project (that would be paid for obviously LOL)

haha no unfortunately it's not. Not to worry! I was just asking as I know your work looks really good so not sure if it was something you were considering.

The CAD thing is a reasonable assumption, but I can assure you he is not using a computer anything.
I'll be sure to pass on your compliments next time I see him.

Oh, but I'm curious!  Can you PM me an idea of what you were hoping for?  I'll see if it's something we can feasibly make (and sort out delivery for).

hahaha!  Okay, so not CAD.  I wonder what it is.  But, thanks for passing along my compliments.

Will PM you! Wouldn't expect you to deliver, by the way! I would come pick up as I don't think you're excruciatingly far away. Will PM you when I'm home (here or FB easier?)

Oh FB is probably easier... maybe.  I don't have Messenger, but I can get it if I'm on the desktop site.  And I often fail to notice messages here.

We're just a few miles beyond the end of the M4, if that helps.  :)

Bristol is between us and the rest of England.  We're Bristol plus about 100 miles further west.  :/

Kiss of Death, you need to drive West and see Wales!  The Gower is absolutely fantastic.  Instead of writing "slow" on the road, they write "Araf!" Like a dog Bark.  Everything is written in Welsh, it's like a foreign country.

Of course, nothing beats "Assfarht" on every third sign in Germany.  I couldn't drive cause I was laughing so hard.

KoD, I was just thinking, if whatever you have in mind looks like something we are capable of doing to a reasonable standard and at a cost that makes more sense than you buying it from an established manufacturer, we could probably meet up in Bristol on one of our infrequent visits to my in-laws.  Or my husband could drop it at his FIL's house on his way to/from Salisbury one week and you could pick it up from my FIL if we finish it before my husband has started at the new job (assuming he passes the checks and gets a start date!).  So that would relieve some of your travel burden.

Not that seeing Wales again would be a burden!  :)

We were on a road trip for our one year anniversary, and we had a rough route planned out and were booking the hotels on one of those last minute booking websites a few days in advance. We got a MASSIVELY good deal on the room in Cardiff that was 5 star and we liked it SO much that we scrapped one of the places we were due to stay next and extended the stay to an extra night. Luckily it was at the end of the trip so we didn't have to compare much to it afterwards haha Can't remember the name off the top of my head but it was in Cardiff Bay and in indoor pool/spa was INCREDIBLE. highly recommend :)

Sorry...back to wood-talk! hah

JF-messaged you on FB :)
