What will we find in our UPS package?

We're still not at the decision stage yet, but jumping ahead I'm intrigued as to what happens when my UPS package arrives!

I know we want the vignette in the passport, but do we just receive a passport or do we get a letter too telling us the decision which I'd imagine is easier to find than trawling through the passport?

If the worst happens and the visa is refused is there anything to say why the decision was reached or are you left in the dark trying to guess before your next application?

I just got my approval on Friday. It came if course with the vignette in passport. But there’s also a letter stating that the application was successful. It also says I need to show the immigration people at the airport my visa and the letter. Other than that my package included all of my original documents as well.

You'll get a vignette inside the passport, the golden ticket to the UK.

Also a letter from them explaining that you've been successful and what happens next. Previous poster more or less has nailed it on the head for you.

My passport was on top and it was opened to the vignette.  There was a letter, too.  All of my documents were returned with the exception of the passport photos.
