I’m going through our correspondence, and I’m wondering how loosely the term ‘bank’ is interpreted for the purposes of bank letters or statements

For instance, I’ve got letter from both of our pension plan holders as well as credit card statements. Anyone know if those are considered acceptable?

I used a pension statement successfully.   :)

Thanks again!

This stuff always sends me into an irrational anxiety spiral. I’ve now pulled and organised all my correspondence docs to date to put with the actual app and have my giant pile ready to take with us to the appointment just in case.

I know this has been asked many many times before, but I cannot remember the answer to save my life.

Who should my employer’s letter be addressed to for my in person FLR appointment?

Thanks!

As it's an in person appointment, just put the address of the centre you'll be at.  :)

Thank you! I’m sure it doesn’t matter at all but you know how we all get when it comes to visa applications.

My appointment is 1 week from tomorrow!  Time for me to do some breathing exercises.

Anyhow, I’m spending today collating (for the millionth time) all the docs currently in our possession and assembling my checklist. If someone could have a look at the below and confirm it all looks in order that would be lovely!

Uk passport photos of both, names on back

Original Marriage certificate

6-12 pieces of post in our names spread evenly over the last 2 years — where I have joint available I have used these, where I don’t have it, I have one in each name from roughly the same time period.

Both passports, including my old one, and my current BRP

signed ink to paper original tenancy agreement, in both our names.

Cat A financial docs, including

Letter from each of our HR depts, ink to paper signed on letterhead, confirming our positions, length of employment, type of employment, and salaries. Where required the letter also confirms that copies of other docs (contract, payslips, p60) are genuine copies)

Payslips from October through March for both of us.

Copies of our contracts, either stamped or confirmed genuine by HR letter

P60’s for last year

Original bank statements showing this pay going in, with stamped printout from the branch to supplement where we haven’t had our paper statements yet

Completed FLR(M), which I have not yet filled in, in fear they are going to release a new version of the form any day now.

Printout of IHS confirmation

Printout of appt/payment confirmation.

I’ll also be taking canopies of all my docs and taking these with me, as the appointment booking now recommends this.

I feel oddly well prepared, which is somehow making me anxious. Typical.  Everything look to be in shape? Anything I’ve mossed?

Thanks in advance!!!!

You are fine!

If one of you meets the income requirement on your own, just use one set of financials.  They will NOT want both.  Just a heads up.

Do the October payslips clearly show they cover from the first of October and until the end of March?  If not, I’d add September to the pile just to be sure.

I’d fill in the current form.  As you’ve paid the £993, that’s the form that corresponds to your application.

And yes, when you are familiar with the process and know what’s required, there’s no need to be anxious.  Your ducks are all neat and tidy in their row.   :D

Oh thanks for that on the income stuff! I’ll just do mine with the app and bring his as the irrational needless backup.  We made he requirement by the skin of our teeth last time (£19.1!) so I think I’m just being overzealous now.

As to the payslips, I’m salaried  and it will be six individual payslips so should be very obvious that it covers six months, but of course I’ll have all my others with me just in case.  :)

They need to cover a full 6 months exactly... and not a day less than 6 months.

I.e. 30th September to 31st March... so if your first payslip starts on October 1st (it only covers October), you may not meet the requirement. Which is why we recommend including the September payslip and bank statement as well, just to make sure you cover the entire 6 months.

Ahhh ok. I’ll chuck them in as well. I’ve been saving my payslips and get paper statements so no big deal for me to add these.

Thank you for clarifying!

Sitting down to fill in the application form and finding I’m encountering the same questions from last time. Stupidly I did not take a copy of my last completed form.

6.4 when did your relationship first begin?

I’ve put the date we met in person on 6.2, but as with a lot of us here, our relationship started before that. Ideally I’d like this to match what I put Kat time but since I don’t know, should I put the date we consider our relationship began (2 months before we met in person) or the date we met?
