Nvm on the not talking much on WhatsApp. I just sample extracted our chat history and we have a fair bit on there like “grab me x from the store please” messages. Lol it started around April of this year.

You only need to include messages, letters and cards if they cover any time that you have lived apart from each other.

So you wouldn’t need to include anything between April and now because you have been living together all that time, but after he leaves this week, if you will be apart for a while before applying, you can include evidence of that communication.

So i am filling out the 5 most recent trips to the UK and one of my five goes back to 2006. I have a stamp in my passport to when I entered the UK but I don't find a stamp to when I returned to the USA. And of course I don't have the paperwork from over a decade ago....what do I put in the returned date? I have a vague idea of when I would have returned, but its a guess completely. Is there a way to get this date?

Just give them your best guess and note that it's an estimate.

It won't have any bearing on the outcome.

My spouse and I were married in 2011 and we have filled our taxes together since 2011 in the USA. However I only have 2016-2013 tax returns. On IRS.gov it only goes back to 2013 and on the 1800-908-9946 phone line i can only get 2013 and sooner.

Is it necessary to get the 2012 and 2011? If so how do I go about this?

You don't have to send tax returns, they are just a suggestion. You can use utility bills, memberships, insurance policies, financial statements etc. Those in joint names are ideal but off you don't have that, individually named items to the same address would be another option.

You need to cover the entire length of your relationship, so you will need evidence from 2011 and 2012 (and before).

If you have anything else you can use for 2011 and 2012 rather than tax returns, you can use those things instead (tenancy agreements, house deeds, mortgage statements, utility bills etc.)... but if you don't have anything else from those years, then you'll likely need to get the 2011 and 2012 tax returns.

So if I include the following does it look good for our proof of relationship?
- 2011 marriage certificate
- 2011 apartment lease agreement
- Warranty deed from 2012 purchase of house
- 2013-2016 tax returns
- Warranty deed from 2016 purchase of house
- 2 photos, one from wedding and one recent one
- messages from Dec 2nd - Jan 1st (starting point of being apart and day before i plan to apply)

I will also have a 4 months of bank statements with both our names on it but this is more for the financial side than the proof of relationship.
