I never wanted a pair ever, especially after watching girl after girl after girl fall down while wearing them at the X-Games in Aspen.
Then my boss gifted me a pair for Christmas... and I had to wear them into the office at least once to be nice.
Mine were black, still ugly, but damn are they toasty! My ice cube feet stayed warm in them! So I wore them around the house until Lily attempted to eat them. Haha.

That’s a very nice gift!

And yeah, Uggs are not snow boots!

Why do people wear Uggs outside?  Wet feet are horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that I've ever worn Uggs, but that's because I hate wet feet.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

Check TK MAXX.  Saw lookalikes in there today in your price range and in several different styles.

You can buy from Costco online even if you are not a member.

late to the thread but I have had fake uggs purchased for me from Costco and I can vouch they are quality and comfortable! :)

Fixing to order them now. Wish the "natural" color was in stock, but I'll take what they have and if the Daughter doesn't like 'em, she can return them.

Thanks, all!

They might have them in the actual shop if you or somebody you know has a COSTCO card and can check :) I found that I was able to find TOMs there that I couldn't see on their website.

No, sadly, I don't have a COSTCO membership these days, and no logistical way to easily get to the store. These will be fine, I think!  Thanks!

Forget about fashion, Crocs don't look comfortable to me.  They must just not be for my long, narrow feet, but to me they look like hard cages that my feet would slide around in all day.  And they're plastic/rubber, right?  Don't they get really sweaty?

I'm no fashionista by any stretch of the imagination, but I worked at Starbucks for years and a pair of black, closed toe Crocs (without holes in the top) fit the dress code and health standards perfectly. They were comfortable for a work shift and easy to clean and quick to dry. You'll definitely get milk splatters and coffee grounds on your shoes so plastic/rubber Crocs were more practical than trainers.

I didn't usually wear them outside the house, but I wouldn't have been opposed to it (I'm from northwest Washington where the dress code is definitely comfy casual).

I've seen Crocs or mock Crocs for sale at the catering supply store, so I don't think I'm alone.

And Crocs make so many different styles of shoes... not just the ugly version. (Which I'm totally guilty of having a love affair with in 2010. Even had fur lined ones.)

It totally was. Ultra fancy!

And the shoes I escaped with from my house fire? Red Ohio State Crocs which fell off in the 3 feet of snow outside. I had to wait for the snow to melt to recover them.

I used to enjoy going to the one in San Diego.  Wouldn't use enough of the "buy in bulk" stuff now to need one. Or have a place to store it all!

They used to have Really Good Hot Dogs....
