Just returned from the UK and landed in New Jersey, where it's a balmy 16°F...

Switched on my phone and this came through:

I counted 25 business days for a decision...

Yesssss! I'm so happy to read this today! I still haven't heard, but I was really worrying about no one hearing anything at all recently. My husband and sons fly to the UK without me on Tuesday and I'm super down about it so although it's not my email, I'm thrilled to see the ball rolling!

Please keep up posted on what happens next, I'm really curious if VFS will drag their feet or get you sorted quickly!

I’d probably contact them first rather than waiting or going ahead and sending it unsolicited.

Decision emails can come at the weekend too. Fingers crossed for you. 

I've not heard yet, but have just seen the priority thread and have to say ughhhh. Seriously?! I'm at a loss. Is this an impending refusal? I'm not prepared for that.

I hope it goes without saying that I'm always happy to see others get quick results, my annoyance is strictly with the folks running the show.

No, you are not an impending refusal.  It's the government organisation you are dealing with that is an absolute joke.  Hang in there!

I received the decision email from Sheffield on Friday at 7:30am Eastern Standard Time so VFS had the whole day to contact me. I emailed them on Saturday asking for next steps so hopefully they'll reply today. So much for "we'll ask you to send your passport back immediately." 

Still hoping it'll be good news - especially with having entered the UK during processing... I'll post again when I hear something.

I genuinely think if there was going to be an issue with entering, it would have happened when you entered.

That's completely rubbish of them but good for your case to get your money back, which I hope you're preparing. Make notes of all the times they have not lived up to their promises, you've got a solid case.

Just received a reply from VFS saying my Visa was indeed approved and I need to send them my passport ASAP so they can insert the vignette!!!

We have received notification of your visa approval and we will need you to send us your passport as soon as possible using the waybill that was provided to you on 11/29.

So, like... in effect, you had to tell them that you were approved and needed to send your passport in for the vignette, and then they agreed with you?  I'm definitely not seeing Gold service here.  *headshake*

But, still... congratulations on your approval!  All of this headache is almost behind you (for about 30 months).
