Transfer of Residence form...?? Y or N??
« on: December 02, 2017, 04:01:05 PM »
Hi all-

Been looking into shipping over some things in advance of the move and saw on the Transfer of Residence Form page that this must be filled out for pets also. First i heard and I have done a pretty deep dive on the getting pets over. Does anyone have direct experience with getting this form for pets or not having one and needing it?

Thanks as always,

NWKH

Your cargo company for the pet will ask for the TOR number. It's new in the last few months, so some may not have listed it yet. I actually have to put the monetary value for my rescue cat on a form for the receiving company to report to HRMC

Margo-

We are actually not using a shipping company. So do you, or anyone with experience with this recently, think we should just fill this out and add this to our growing list of forms?

Cant hurt I guess. Whats one more form at this point right?

Anyone flow their pet in the cargo hold or in cabin via France recently with any experience on the TOR form?

Thanks Margo and ALL....

The TOR just started a few months ago so there won't be many people with experience.  I'd recommend calling one of the Animal Reception Centres at one of the airports.  They are very helpful!

You'll be doing all of the paperwork to send your cat manifest cargo yourself? I ended up going w/ SeaAir cargo; and animal air care to receive the pet at Gatwick. Much less than a relocation company but they book the cargo space on the flight.

It's free so I would complete the TOR to be safe. It only takes a few days to come back if you do it by email. The company that receives the animal in the U.K. will likely need it, and you may need it for your personal effects (computers etc) that are coming on the flight.

Animal Reception in the UK!  The US side won't know the UK requirements.

Is there a reason you don't want to apply for the ToR?
