Motorcycles????
« on: December 21, 2017, 04:08:27 AM »
Moving to the UK in Feb. What is needed to get a motorcycle Lic/endorsement??
Do I get a driver lic first? Then the motorcycle lic. is added?

I know learners are limited in motor size for motorcycles. Which I find agreeable. But I have rode for 20+ years in the states. Thanks, Joe

You can drive for up to 12 months on your US driving licence from when you arrive. That won't reset to zero again each time you leave the UK and return.

If you want to drive in Great Britain after that, then you must have passed the UK driving tests.

If you haven't passed the UK tests by the time your 12 months are up, then you are treated the same as any other learner driver. Learner drivers are limited in what they are allowed to ride and what they can do. See my link above.
