Which embassy for child's first passport
« on: December 24, 2017, 03:19:44 PM »
Hi, we live in North Yorkshire and wondering if anyone knows if we can go to the US embassy in Edinburgh to apply for our baby's first passport or do we need to go to London because we live in England?
Thanks

Service is good in Edinburgh and turnaround is quick. :) Everytime I’ve been there the waiting room’s been full of babies, seems like a hearty chunk of their work is passports and registry of births abroad.
Relatively close to Edinburgh Waverley as well, so you can get the train if you fancy. Usually plenty of parking close to the consulate, as it’s on a dead end road. Pay parking mixed with permit so watch where you park.
