The 1282.00 is just the fee for naturalisation, passport not included. Does that mean you got a free passport?   ;)

No!  What I meant was the passport fee came out the same day (or thereabouts) as the naturalisation fee.  So I paid for the passport several months in advance.   ;D

Oh, that's interesting! I also thought it came out after the approval.  :)

Thanks for posting your timeline too, that's really helpful!

122 until I can do my in person appointment. When can I book the appointment?  I know it's a certain amount of time before the actual appointment date. Do I need to pay the full fee that day??

You can book 42 calendar days ahead of time, although the last time I looked the website said 45 business days!

Yes, you need to pay the whole amount, visa fee plus in person fee at the time.

I've been saying "we" about the UK in international relations since I got here.  It's like I instantly adopted the UK as my own.  Meanwhile, I go back and forth between "we" and "they" for the US!  I can't figure out my place with the US anymore.
