I'm curious why Kosher shops have these? I thought it was a Mexican thing. Is there any special connection with being Jewish?
Only that the product above is made by a company with kosher certification. There are loads of worldly foods enjoyed by those that keep kosher (I mean, I never considered Fritos to be a Mexican food until I saw someone eat them with Chili), however a lot of manufacturers will not have the kosher certification (pretty sure Old El Paso doesn't in UK, they may have it on their vegetarian products in the states).
A majority of the products at the kosher supermarkets are imported from the States and are either made by kosher companies (as like Lieber's in the above links, or Glick's) or are simply imports of some favourite American brands (Motts, Apple & Eve, etc) that happen to have a kosher mark on it (it's easier to gain kosher status in the states than the UK, but I won't go into why on this forum now).
