registering for my wedding, anything special regarding visas?
« on: January 15, 2018, 11:42:19 AM »
I am getting married while on my fiancee visa in 6 weeks! Yayyyy! While I feel like I am living the dream at the moment it is also the most stressful time! I was wondering if I need to bring anything special when we go to the office of the register. We are in Scotland and I know we are within the time range for everything but I do not know if there is anything special I must submit for my marriage visa during this process besides the basic legal stuff everyone does?

If I understand correctly - you might need to get some passport photographs of you and your fiancé and take these along to your appointment. I only mention this because we had to do this in England.

The procedure may be different in Scotland, but another poster might know more about that :)

Have you looked at the "marriage in Scotland " guidelines yet? It will give you all of forms you need to fill out and all of the required information and documents.

You both will need passport photos, proof of address, copies of your passport and visa, names and contact information for your witnesses, your application, an immigration form.
