Thank you, so if I'm understanding this correcting regarding the payslips if I apply today for example 8th Oct 18, my payslips need to be showing from 8th Oct 17 to now. My Oct 17 payslip was on the 25th Oct 17 if i recall correctly (all my payslips in both jobs have been on or near the 25th of each month) so I would have to include my Sept payslip to cover the 8th Oct 17 up until 24th Oct 17. Which would mean 13 payslips and bank statements correct?

If we apply on the 30th Oct 18 for example then the Oct 17 payslip would cover me for that month and so only 12 payslips are required.

No, not quite.

You take the latest payslip (which must be dated in the last 28 days) you have and count back 365 days from that date. Your first payslip must cover that date in 2017.

For example, if you apply today, on Oct 8th 2018, your latest payslip must be dated no earlier than 10th September 2018, so say your last payslip was dated 25th September 2018, then the 12 months that you have to cover is 25th September 2017 to 25th September 2018.

So, you would need to include the following payslips:
1. 25 Sept 2017
2. 25 Oct 2017
3. 25 Nov 2017
4. 25 Dec 2017
5. 25 Jan 2018
6. 25 Feb 2018
7. 25 Mar 2018
8. 25 Apr 2018
9. 25 May 2018
10. 25 Jun 2018
11. 25 Jul 2018
12. 25 Aug 2018
13. 25 Sept 2018

And your bank statements must cover (assuming they are issued for a full month at a time):
1. 1-30 Sept 2017
2. 1-31 Oct 2017
3. 1-30 Nov 2017
4. 1-31 Dec 2017
5. 1-31 Jan 2018
6. 1-28 Feb 2018
7. 1-31 Mar 2018
8. 1-30 Apr 2018
9. 1-31 May 2018
10. 1-30 Jun 2018
11. 1-31 Jul 2018
12. 1-31 Aug 2018
13. 1-30 Sept 2018

But if your Sept 2017 payslip was dated 26th September, not 25th, then you would be 1 day short, so you would need to include a 14th payslip from August 2017 to cover up to 25th September 2017, and the corresponding August 2017 bank statement as well.

So, your starting point is the date of your most recent payslip and you work back from there.

I see! I get it now thank you for clarifying :). I'll sift through what I have to work with and time the application date accordingly. I should be fine but I will double check the payslip dates when I get home and pester you guys later (sorry about that btw haha, I will stop pestering for another 30 months after this!!!)

So it turns out my oldest payslip is 25 oct 2017 so I'll have to wait for my 25th oct 2018 payslip before sending off this application.

Quick question i noticed that our marriage certficate has my husbands old name on it. Should we include docs for proof of name change along with the relationship docs?

Actually, you probably don’t have to wait for the Oct 25th payslip, because if you are using Cat B, using 12 months of income, it doesn’t matter how many months out of the 12 months you worked, as long as total earnings were at least £18,600.

So, say you applied today, 13th October, you would provide 12 months of bank statements: 13th Oct 17 to 13th Oct 18 and then whatever payslips you had from that time.

You could have been unemployed from Oct 17 to May 18, and then have earned £18,600 since May 18 and you would still meet the requirements. You would just provide 12 months of bank statements, Oct to Oct, and then payslips from May to Oct.

For the marriage certificate I would provide the name change documents, just to prove he is the same person.

Yes, you do need it as it proves ownership of the house.

You can just download an official copy from the Land Registry website for about £3 (this is what most people provide):

Thanks! I got bought the Title Registry :). As the approval letter from my mother I was thinking of something like this?

Black is the address
Red is my mom's name

I intend to get my mom's signature after the "Your's faithfully" part

The letter should also state who else will be living in the property and how many bedrooms and living rooms there are.

I've changed the main paragraph, is this ok?

"Has given permission to my son, Abdassami Ali Alvi and son-in-law, Yaniv Eli Alvi to stay in my property. My daughter and I will also be living in this property for a total of 4 people living in a 3 bedroom house which has 1 living room. Please find enclosed my Land Registry and my latest mortgage statement as proof of ownership for this property."
