I did enjoy it very much so.  There are some other great shows on Netflix too; quite a few in fact.

Don’t know about the crown but totally worth it for OITNB!   ;D

You can turn it on and off whenever you want too so nothing to loose really, think they give you a free month at the beginning too iirc.

Netflix has a lot of great original shows, among others, that are worth signing up for.  If you think about how much you might spend on a DVD box set, you could sign up for a short while just for The Crown (if that's all you want to watch) and still be winning.

I loved The Crown :).

There are several other good shows on Netflix too:

I got totally hooked on Dark a couple of weeks ago - it’s German Language, but with both English audio and subtitle options... and it’s so good... I’m dying to watch season 2 and they haven’t even made it yet!

I’d like to attempt to watch Stranger Things but I’m not good with horror/suspense and I’ve seen people call it ‘terrifying’! Dark has been hailed as a German Stranger Things, but it’s not quite the same (only in the sense of there being missing kids and something strange going on)... it’s more intriguing than scary.

Love the crown, and so many other shows. Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency is our newest addiction for evening watching. :) And Grace and Frankie is really funny.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Crown.  Also, I kept googling things throughout and learned so much about 20th century GB... and I have a better grasp of the Royal Family's structure now.  Actually, I kept thinking that the series helped me know Life in the UK better than the things I studied for the LiUK test.

That’s a good point! My husband compared a lot of what he read in the book to historical events he had seen movies about!

I started Grace and Frankie but only got about 3 episodes in. I also tried watching Dirk Gently... I wanted to like it because I’ve met one of the actors in it a few times and wanted to support him, but it’s too weird for me.

I did that too :). Mainly to find out if the events in the show actually happened or if they were embellished upon (a bit of both, I think).

Yes, exactly!  I came to the same conclusion... yes, the events occurred, more or less.  But I think their timeline or importance were a bit "creative" occasionally.

Dirk Gently is nothing like the book either, which was annoying.

It's a strange show, but it was interesting. I binge watched it just because I wanted to see what happened.

ETA: it's annoying to read the book and have it be completely different. But it's better this way as I would have stopped watching the show and I'm glad I hadn't.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I'm horrible with suspense and scary movies and I've seen both seasons of Stranger Things. Season 1 was a bit more suspenseful than season 2, but it was awesome!

I couldn't even watch Are You Afraid of the Dark as a kid. Haha.
