A tough day...
« on: February 05, 2018, 05:01:45 PM »
Hey guys, just needed to try to destress a bit. I can honestly say today sucked. We had a suicidal jumper on the roof at work. Me alone in the office, police on the way. I beat them there, and glad to say he didn't manage to jump. Absolutely NOT the stress anyone needs!!

Damn. Definitely not the sort of thing anyone wants in their day.

I hope you're doing okay. *Hugs*
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

That's awful. Can't imagine what you must have been feeling dealing with that. Hope you're able to relax a bit now.

Honestly, I poured a nice stiff drink! Relaxing with my lovely wife.  Just so happy it wasn't worse.

Hi,

Glad that it wasn't worse as you mention...

Over the last year to 18 months, people in our family and extended family have had news of a number of acquaintances who've committed suicide and unfortunately, in horrific ways :(

I've heard that in the UK, suicide is the biggest if not one of the biggest 'killers' of Men each year. Mental health plays a major factor it seems for this sad situation. I'm sure there's a significance for women as well, I'm not playing down that aspect.

I'm in full support of more support, understanding and help for anyone with any level of mental issues.

Dennis, West London & Slough UK.

That sucks Rick, glad that it worked out on the good side.
When I worked at a hotel I ended up being involved with a guest who attempted suicide   while I was working.  The feelings were powerful so I totally understand.

Thanks everyone.  I'm just pleased it ended well, and I'm sure he will be grateful later.
