Just wanted to share a little update on the new kitten. It seems that everyone is settled in, and 3 cats are almost friends with a new kitten.

Beautiful fluff balls Katie!

How’s life these days?  Did you ever manage a refund?

Thank you so much @larrabee and @KFdancer !

Life is ok, still settling in. I am looking for job, but it is very slow due to the summer time. I registered with the GP, got my NINo number, opened bank account. We are looking for a bigger house now, which is another trouble...

My husband hasn’t replied back to the MP yet. He is scared that it can affect our next application if he will continue pushing HO for the refund. I still want him to do that. We are still at the same point, where HO confirmed that I had the right IELTS test but my level of English was too high (C1 instead of A1).

I am still feeling a little bit miserable :), even though the visa story is postponed for the next 2 years. It’s only because of the lack of communication and being unemployed for the moment.

Hope you are fine @KFdancer and enjoy this unusually warm summer in the UK.

Yeah, give him another little nudge.  Or do it yourself.  :)  They should be willing to talk to you.

Yes, I'm loving that it's actually SUMMER and not just a week of summer as usual.  The only thing that makes me sad is that my grass isn't green (I'm a typical American who loves her lawn).  I know the green grass will be back soon enough though.  :)

Your cats are gorgeous!  Be thankful I can't post any pics of my 7 - I would bore everyone senseless!

My eldest cat is black.  She is 16 and arrived in the UK over a year ago and is having a good life.

Thank you @Blossom

Wow, 7 sounds like a lot. Post their pictures, we won’t be bored :)

We had some small issues with our cats, 2 had ear mites, then we asked for the stronghold prescription. Vets cost a fortune here, average visit for 4 cats amounts to 150-200£ for us.... a lot

Are you  in line for any of these thunderstorms they have promised us?

I am in the North West and a hosepipe ban comes into effect the first weekend in August.

When we rescued the youngest one, Harry, he had bad ear mites.  He had to have injections for them.  He had been living rough so did well to only have ear mites.

We rescued number 5 cat and she had ring worm which she promptly shared.  That was a nightmare and took ages to eradicate.  The vet had given us the wrong dosage of medication so it went on forever.

Hopefully it will be raining today, I can judge that by cats - suddenly all 3 came back home from the garden. :)

We live in Hampshire, so no hosepipe ban for us yet.
