My hubby is the feeder in our house - for human and felines.

I've put on a couple of stone since I arrived in the UK.

Paddie sits and stares at him so he knows she wants some gravy to lick.

And this morning he arrived back from the bakers with a couple of fresh cream, freshly baked, chocolate eclairs.  Paddie had a bit of a lick of the cream.

Are we married to the same man?

I tell him not to get me anything and he'll come back with not one thing but five.

Oh... and Stuart knows exactly what snack Pedro Felix wants by his new and where he is standing.

He gets cat yogurt, dry food and wet food for his  meals.

Then cat six, dry dreamies like treats, fresh cream or whatever else he buys.

If PF goes to the table,  he wants cream. If he goes by his dish he wants Dreamies and if he goes into the kitchen and touches your leg he wants a stick.

And he insists Stuart clean out his litter tray after every use. He will wait until Stuart gets home from work to go then cry until it is clean and then he inspects it.

Stuart is married to you and to the cat!

As you say - we are married to the same man!

Hubby brought Paddie some chicken up on a plate this morning so she could have breakfast in bed.  She is eating so much better.

Hubby and I actually met because of a cat!

Blossom, have a look at the Kidney Diet food available.  It's what's helping Sobe out.  It's super low sodium and designed to be easily processed by the kidneys and help kitties put weight on and extend their life.

While I can't say my husband is as in tune with our cats as your husbands are, he was the one that introduced me to kitties. He had 2 when I met him!  :D

Happy Paddie is eating better!  :)

Glad to hear she is eating better. It's extra worrying when they aren't eating.

I got Pedro Felix for Stuart's birthday a couple of years ago when I was over on one of my visits. I didn't want him to be alone while I was away. He had been wanting a cat but was afraid to get one because he was working full time.

I did a search on GumTree for kittens and Omg, it was so hard to find a kitten. By the time I messaged, the kittens would be gone.

Then I found a listing for PF. He was 12 weeks old and his owner said he tried to find him a home for awhile and 6 different people wanted him but no one ever showed up.

I had to get a train to get him but I promised I would be there. He was perfect!

I brought him home then lost him in the flat. I had to hide all of the cat stuff right before Stuart got home from work because I had no kitten to give him. Lol

Stuart brought home fish and chips for dinner so while we were sitting on the couch eating, I heard the little shite moving around in the drawer of the coffee table!!

He then came crawling out from under the drawer to investigate the yummy fish smell and I was like, "Omg Stuart.  What is that?" And I pointed to this wee tuxedo baby.

He exclaimed,  "I have a cat? You got me a cat?" And they have been inseparable ever since.

Stuart sounds as soft as my hubby!

Paddie is eating really little amounts - but she is eating and that is what matters.

Just off to check the Kidney diet food.

He rarely falls asleep in our bed, let alone on top of my legs

Aww! We have a heater in our bedroom but I hate it so we keep the one in the hall on. He always ends up in bed with us but usually not until we're asleep 😁

Paddie update:

Took her back to the vet this morning to be weighed.  She has lost a couple of grams.

We have now got her on the special diet cat food, and the vet gave her a pill to get her appetite going.  She came home and demanded food.  The vet said the pill would be effective for 24 hours.

We are also giving her high calorie paste a couple of times a day.

She is enjoying being warm and cuddled.

We will take her back in a couple of weeks to be weighed again.
