« on: December 08, 2004, 08:01:21 PM »
can anyone tell me where I can get info about co sponsors... and how much do they have to make or be worth to co-sponsor... i know i just got my settlement visa to stay in the UK but ulitmately and eventually we will be returning to the states and i'd like to start my researching so as i am ready when that time comes... sorry if this has been discussed b4 but there seems to be an awful lot of threads to go through when you type in co- sponsor in search and the ones that come up dont seem to fit... thanks... Jo
P.S. i tryed to look this up on us visa site but seems they have the same prob with the word co- sponsor on there
It's the difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

Interesting deal
She'll do it. If she has to kill everyone in this room. She'll do it. She's in love.
*sigh*
It's amazing how the path of love is so alike to the path of insanity

Follow this link and click on the form I-864 it will give you the guidelines required for a joint sponsor.

Hope this helps.

Don't look for info about co-sponsors, look for info on joint sponsors who fill out the I-864 form! :) We used a joint sponsor for our recent visa. As long as they are willing and make money (need to prove 125% over poverty limit for the number of people in their household, and the details are actually on the I-864 form) it is easy peasy. I was surprised, I thought they had to be loaded. The amount changes with the fluctuation in currency conversions, but you can find it on the link Jules posted above. US Embassy has a horrible website that can be really hard to navigate, but eventually you can find what you are looking for. :)
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!
