Live in Norwich any American's nearby
« on: February 28, 2018, 11:09:12 AM »
Hello everyone,

We live in Norwich and my husband is struggling a little.

We moved here two years ago.  I am British but lived in NJ with my husband for 20 years.
We have 2 boys 8 and 12.

We have moved back to my hometown.

I am finding it a challenge as I lived away for so long but I have my immediate family here.
I think if he had someone to vent to that would not judge or feel offended about their homeland.

I know because I felt that way there.

Anyway, just thought I would give it a try......

Thanks :)

I'm not in your area, but welcome to the forum.  He should join!  He can vent here all he wants.  And we might be able to offer tips to help him feel more settled/integrated.

Are there particular things he's struggling with?  Transportation?  Food?  Just cultural differences?  How can we help?
